Wednesday woke up drowning in sheets. Sheets that weren't hers. Sheets that bathed her in his smell. In his arms. She felt him stir, and she did the most childish, most useless thing she could have ever done: She pretended as though she were still asleep.

Her eyes shut tight and her breathing remained steady. She fought against the urge to snuggle closer to him. Though it seemed like he could already read her mind. Pulling her closer to his chest, his arms protectively around her petite form.

"Wake up..." he whispered into her ear. Wednesday felt chills run down her spine, but she ignored it and continued to 'sleep'. He chuckled, "Wednesday..." he mumbled playfully. Shifting her from left to right in his grasp.

She shook her head drowsily and turned away from him. She felt cold, but she didn't want to wake up yet. The lack of sleep was finally hitting her. So she ignored him yet again when he reached for her.

Wednesday pulled the blanket over her shoulders and sighed as she felt sleep creeping up on her again. But Xavier pulled her to him swiftly, a soft grunt slipping out of his mouth as she hit his chest roughly.

"Xavier, if you don't let me sleep I'm going to leave." Wednesday mumbled, one eye open and one still in a calming darkness called dreamless sleep. Wednesday felt Xavier shake his head against hers. "Don't leave." His leg wrapped around hers.

"Then allow me the simple luxury of sleep." Wednesday whispered into the Saturday dreariness. He nodded absently and allowed her to slip back into  a semi-deep sleep.

He too closed his eyes and tried to follow her example. But he couldn't get back to sleep. Xavier didn't mind though. He had Wednesday back. And he was never going to let her go ever again.

"I swear to god. I woke up this morning and was about to jump on you, then I realized you weren't even there!" Enid grumbled as she roughly smacked oats into her bowl. "What's the point of having you as a roommate if I don't even get to annoy you sometimes!"

"Enid, I think your bowl is drowning." Wednesday pointed out as she put some fruit onto her own plate. Enid shot her a questioning look before her eyes widened at the overflowing oatmeal on her tray. "Ughhhhh...." Enid sighed as she grabbed a spoon and stuck it into her oatmeal lazily.

"Do they have maple syrup?" Enid asked Wednesday as her eyes looked for the delicious condiment. "Yes I think so. I thought I saw some...here." Wednesday handed her the syrup and watched in disgust as she poured diabetes into her bowl.

The oatmeal now looking like a mixture between oil and chunks of puke, Wednesday grimaced and looked away. "That's disgusting Enid." Wednesday pointed out uncaringly.

Enid stuck up her nose and tried her best to look entitled, "Well I don't care what you think. This is a masterpiece I have created and you shall watch as I make it even better." She then dumped a couple of fruits into her oatmeal and stole the yogurt spoon from Wednesday.

"Okay. We're stopping here. That's oatmeal. This is yogurt. Have boundaries." Wednesday frowned as she took the spoon back and continued filling her small bowl with the yogurt. "Let's go sit and eat before you make any more nutrition choices you'll regret later on." Wednesday chastised as she led Enid to an empty table.

Wednesday wasn't surprised when soon after, Ajax joined them with a stack of pancakes and waffles on his plate. A waterfall of syrup running down it as he dug in. She wasn't surprised when Enid giggled at her boyfriend's maple syrup covered lips. Simply kissing the sweetness off. And certainly not by the gag she held back. Hypocrite.

Wednesday didn't even think about the cheerful "Good morning!!" She received from Maria as she took a seat at the table beside hers with Yoko.

Wednesday was surprised, however, when Xavier smoothly slid in beside her and dug into his eggs and sausages. She guessed that it was probably because he hadn't sat with them for a while. She noticed Enid and Ajax's smirks but ignored them. The couple didn't mention it either and went about their conversation with cheeky grins in their faces.

Wednesday allowed Xavier's palm to rest on her thigh. Fighting the colour that she felt creeping up her neck. Eventually winning as she quickly kicked the yogurt from her lips and stood up to put her dishes and tray onto the dirty tray rack.

Xavier's hand rested against the small of her back as he leaned over her to deposit his tray as well. She tensed up then relaxed once she realized who it was. He chuckled as he walked away as if nothing happened, shooting her a discrete wink over his shoulder.

Wednesday rolled her eyes and soon dragged Enid away from her boyfriend, telling them they had things to do.

"I see you and Xavier are better. Was that where you ran off to?" Enid asked giddily. "Of course, where else would I have gone?" Wednesday retorted. "But let's not get off track. I'm going to dig up Thing tonight and we'll perform the ritual tomorrow night . It's a crescent moon."

Enid nodded, "why are we waking him up again? Other than the fact that Thing's awesome and I miss him." "My life's a shad. And it's only been getting dark we since Thing left. My parents keep telling me to let him go but I can't. Not when I can have him back." Wednesday asserted.

"Of course. Let's shed some light on this Shadow." Enid smiled at Wednesday. "Now...how are we going to get the blood?" She wondered aloud. Wednesday spoke as if it were evident, "I'll cut myself obviously. I'll just bring a knife."

"What?! You can't cut yourself." Enid shook her head. "Relax. It has to be the blood of a descendant, and I'll bring a handkerchief or something to wrap my hand in. I'll be fine." Wednesday dismissed Enid's concerns with a bat of her hand.

"Alright...Guess we're doing this."
