Wednesday's breathing was shallow. She was light headed from sobbing. Her outer numbness not spreading on the inside. Her emotions too much like a raging tsunami to calm down and allow her not to feel. She wanted a break. She just wanted a break. But the words etched in the dirt, had been tattooed in her mind.

Beware of someone near

Wednesday didn't know who she should be wary of. But her mind was clouded with the reignited flame of her grief. It burnt inside of her. Suffocating. She couldn't even grasp the world around her as she got up and ran. She ran from her friend, ran from her pain, ran from the past, the future. But she knew it would catch up to her, she knew it would sneak up on her and grab her. Stop her from running.

Just like the hand the grabbed her wrist. Stopping her in the middle of the woods. She didn't even realize that she had run to Xavier's art shed.

"Woah, calm down Wednesday," Xavier soothed.

He wrapped her in his arms. He knew her well. He knew she wouldn't want to talk just yet, not when something bothered her this much. He wouldn't force her. He'd simply be there for her. And she appreciated it.

Wednesday tried to stifle her cries. She tried to hold them back. To bury her pain. As if telling herself it wasn't there would make it go away. She bit on her lip, choking sounds coming from her instead of sobs. Xavier knew she was holding back.

"Hey, I'm here. Let go. I've got you," He whispered.

And Wednesday let it go. Waves of grief, bottled up pain, pain she hadn't wanted to feel. Sleepless nights, lonely nights, alone. She felt alone. Everything was catching up to her. Everything she ran from, everything she pushed away. To be acknowledged later or not at all. Hate. Rage. Sadness. Anxiety. Fear.

She let it go. She wanted to scream. So she did.

Xavier's grip on her only tightened as he sunk to the ground with her.

"Shh...Shh..It's alright, it's alright," he comforted.

Wednesday shook her head, sniffling and wiping away all evidence of her breakdown. Trying to return to her senses.

"It's not alright, Xavier!" She sobbed, "I hate feeling this way! I don't want to live like this anymore! I don't want to be here anymore. It's too much for me. It's all too much..."

Her body shook as she sniffled and shoved her fist into her mouth. She bit down on it to try and stop herself from sobbing, to force her body to slow it's breathing. She bit down so hard that she tasted blood, but that only made her bite down harder.

"Hey, hey, stop. Stop," Xavier hushed, pulling her fist from her mouth.

His own eyes were teary with the thought of Wednesday being suicidal. He knew she could wander into dark places, and all he wanted to do was save her. He felt guilty. Was his love not enough? Did he not love her enough? Was he not being the light he thought he was?

The two lovers stared at each other. Sniffling. Tears running down their cheeks. They fell to the ground, but still held each other. And in the throes of grief, pain, and love. They kissed.

The moon shone on their torn faces, as they gripped the other, pulling each other closer and closer. Their lips moulding as one.

"I love you, I love you, I love you..." Xavier mumbled between every kiss.

His lips trailed down to her neck. He placed soft kisses here and there. Groaning as Wednesday gripped and tugged at his hair. He moved his lips higher and higher, desperate to meet with hers once more-

BZZ BZZ! BZZ BZZ! BZZ BZZ!

Xavier's phone vibrated in his pocket.

"Xavier. Answer it. It's fine," Wednesday told him.

When he pulled the phone out of his pocket, both of their eyebrows furrowed in confusion. Enid was calling him. Xavier answered the phone and put it on speaker.

"Hello? Enid? Why are you calling me?" He questioned.

"Xavier! Do you know where Wednesday is? She ran," Enid asked over the phone.

"Yeah, yeah, I'm here with her now,"  Xavier replied.

Enid sighed, "okay...okay...Uhm- don't tell her just yet. She's a little shaken up. B-but..uh....I can't. Gosh!"

"What is it Enid? Just say it," Xavier pushed.

"It's horrible. I-" Enid's breathing began to quicken, she was scared.

"What is?" He urged.

"I was on my way back to the dorms. And I heard some of the teachers whispering. They- they said that..."

"They said what?"

"Tyler...he...he....

Tyler escaped."
