Wednesday paced back and forth, cursing over and over and over again. She didn't know what to do! How could this have happened? Why would anyone want to let him go? He was the last person anyone at Nevermore would want to see. Unless they were Weems, but Weems was dead. She couldn't possibly still be-

No. Wednesday saw the life drain from her eyes. She was gone.

"So what you're telling me...is that you had a vision that Tyler escaped, with the help of some Outcast that can turn invisible?" Xavier questioned, after Wednesday's short summary.

Wednesday nodded, "Yes."

"But there aren't any Outcasts that can turn invisible...not that I know of," Xavier sighed.

The two looked at each other defeatedly. Xavier hated feeling so useless. And he hated that Tyler was free. A person who cause Nevermore so much pain, a person who cause Wednesday so much pain.

Xavier's phone rang.

Wednesday watched as he squinted at the name before answering. A high voice spoke frantically from the other side.

"Woah woah, calm down Enid," Xavier soothed, he nodded before handing the phone to Wednesday. "It's for you."

Wednesday grabbed the phone and put it to her ear.

"WEDNESDAY! YOU NEED TO GET BACK TO OUR DORM ASAP! I THINK SOMEONE STOLE THE BOOK!" Enid yelled, speaking quickly.

"Enid, I'll be right there," Wednesday responded.

Wednesday sped down the hallways, her heart racing with fear. Who could have possibly stolen the book? Why would they want the book?

Once she got to her dorm she threw the door open. Her eyes locked with a shaking Enid standing in the middle of their shared dorm. It had been completely ransacked. The bed sheets were completely undone and thrown across the room, trunks were open and clothes were spilling out everywhere, the bathroom door was left ajar and their toiletries were spilt on the floor, Wednesday's typewriter was on its side and papers were flung everywhere, the desk's drawers were all left open. It was as if they wanted to create more of a mess than they needed to.

But Enid was right. The book was gone. It was gone.

She had no idea who would steal it. Who would come and take it? Who could've even known about it.

Then came the feeling. A chill ran down her spine and she looked over her shoulder. It felt like someone was watching them. Someone was watching her. And therefore, because of that, knew that she had the book and that she did have the book.

The invisible outcast.

But still she didn't understand their motive for wanting the book. Why would anyone be so motivated as to steal it from her? Especially since they seemed powerful enough to break Tyler out of his prison. But how do Tyler and the book coincide? Nothing lined up. Nothing made sense.

Then there was a knock at their door.

Enid froze. She looked at Wednesday, "Were you expecting anyone?" She questioned. Wednesday furrowed her brows, "I don't think so...."

"Is it Xavier?" Enid asked.

"No Xavier wouldn't bother waiting, he'd just barge in," Wednesday remarked, knowing her boyfriend well enough.

"Well then, who is it?" Enid wondered.

Wednesday walked to the door and opened it a crack. And standing there'd was Maria Sweless. That's right, Wednesday forgot about the history project. Maria beamed as she saw a glance of Wednesday's face appear behind the crack of the door. "Wednesday!" She shouted and pushed open the other girl's dorm.

Her smile faltered as her eyes were  met with the sight of Wednesday's and Enid's dorm.

"What happened here?" Maria whispered.

"Nothing you need to worry yourself with, I don't think I can work on the project with you today, maybe tomorrow, I really have to help Enid organize and clean this mess," Wednesday informed her.

"Yes! Of course! Tomorrow then!" Maria grinned, offering her an attempt at a comforting smile, "and don't worry! I'm a Jericho Outcast/Normie history fanatic. I'll be fine," she finished and left.

Wednesday signed. She watched her leave before closing the door behind her.

She looked around her dorm. She didn't know what to think anymore. She was so confused. Impossibly confused. She barely knew what was going on in her head.

But when did she ever?
