"Oh my gosh! I know what'll get your mind off of this whoooollleee ordeal," Enid jumped around grinning from ear to ear directly in Wednesday's face. It was torture.

But still Wednesday decided to go along.

"And what would that be Enid?" Wednesday asked, bored. The two were in their dorm relaxing, Enid pacing around and Wednesday reading up on Crackstone and Goody.

"The full moon gala! EEEEEEEEEEEEEE!" Enid squealed. "I don't know what made you think that taking part in ignorant ridiculous teenage clichés  would distract me," Wednesday sighed, "They just make me want to rip my eyes out of my skull."

Enid huffed, "Well you can be a party pooper all you want, just as long as you don't rain on my parade too much. I think this is a welcome distraction!" Wednesday glanced at Enid from the book she was reading, she stared at her blankly for a moment before looking away.

Enid's smile faltered for a split second at her less enthusiastic reaction but then shrugged it off. She skipped over to her bed and grabbed her Laptop before announcing, "And you're going dress shopping with me!"

Wednesday froze and looked up at her roommate, only to be met with a confident smile and an expression that dared her to say otherwise. Wednesday then realized she was serious.

"Fine," she succumbed.

Enid smiled widely and clapped her hands together, "yay! Perfect! Ugh I can't WAIT to go shopping! Ooooo what are we gonna wear?" She rambled on and on to herself.

.

Enid let out a large breath as she and Wednesday stopped in front of a dress shop. She had dragged Wednesday the whole way there: "Wolf endurance," Enid shrugged.

Wednesday cringed at the bright pink colour. Her hands itching to cover her eyes, but they were still in Enid's grasp.

"Okay bestie! You ready for the ultimate dress search?" Enid asked excitedly. Wednesday removed her hands from Enid's strong grip, "Erm...no," Wednesday deadpanned.

"Perfect!" Enid exclaimed before grabbing her once again and pulling her into the shop.

As soon as the pair stepped foot in the shot, they were hit in the face with colour and jewels. The walls themselves were painted bright pinks and chartreuse. Wednesday felt her throat tighten and eyes tire from the sight.

Enid immediately dragged Wednesday over to the dresses. Pulling out a deep blue mini dress, "This would be cute!" Enid grinned.

Wednesday looked revolted, "Absolutely not," she declined. Enid's smile turned into a frown, she turned her gaze to the dress, "Yeah I see it now. It screams more Princess diaries than Wednesday Addams."

Enid sighed and put it back on the rack. Her eyes trailed along each rack, looking for dresses that might suit either one of them. She continued to pull out dresses for herself and Wednesday.

Each one Wednesday declined but agreed to help Enid carry the Mount Everest of dresses she had accumulated to try on. Wednesday huffed, a bit out of breath as Enid continued throwing more and more dresses into her arms. Wednesday almost pitied the woman in charge of the change rooms when she attempted to give the two girls a number to hang on the door, but couldn't count all of the dresses.

"Just go to the one in the far left, all the way at the end. That's our biggest room," the woman sighed.

Enid beamed at the woman who offered her a tight lipped smile in return. She nodded at Wednesday before waddling her way over to the change room. Her arms equally as full as Wednesday's.

They made their over to the room, both equally not caring and dumping the dresses in a corner. Enid turned and grabbed Wednesday's shoulders.

"Alright. Let's get started!"
.
.
.

Wednesday held her breath as she watched Enid try on the last dress. A bright blue engulfed the girl in front of her, highlighting the werewolf's lunar hair. The dress's skirt flowed as Enid twirled around in it, admiring her own reflection.

Enid stopped and turned towards Wednesday, "this is the one," she beamed. Her hands feeling the off the shoulder sleeves, trailing down to the ribboned bodice.

"I agree," Wednesday replied plainly.

Enid squealed and kicked Wednesday out to change back into her regular clothes. Once finished, she grabbed Wednesday's hand and dragged her towards the check out, yelling a quick: "we left the dresses in there!" to the worker in charge of the dressing rooms.

A brunette took the dress from Enid and brought it around the counter to ring them up. "Two hundred," was all she said. Her lips smacking together as she applied more lipgloss to her already overflowing lips.

Enid's jaw dropped, "two hundred?!" she exclaimed, "my budget's 150." The clerk shrugged in reply, "the price's two hundred. Can't let you pay any less than that," she stated.

"Can't you do anything? To lessen the price?" Enid pleaded, "I really love this dress." The brunette sighed and tapped at the machine, her nails clicking against it obnoxiously. "Okay hun, I can give you a first timer discount," she said.

"Oh thank you!" Enid replied gratefully. "Uhuh, no problem. One eighty," the clerk concluded.

"What!" Enid cried, "that's literally nothing!" The clerk shrugged, "that's all I can do. If you can't pay, then you gotta leave."

Wednesday felt an upset rise in her due to the injustice of the situation. "I'll pay," she told Enid. Enid stared at Wednesday blankly, "you'll what?"

"Enid. I will pay for it," Wednesday informed her, glaring at the clerk. She pulled out a card from seemingly nowhere and tapped the machine.

"But Wednesday...? Are you sure you can afford it?" Enid asked, "I mean we haven't even bought you a dress yet."

Wednesday gave her friend a bored look, "I'm an Addams."

And with that the two left the shop.

As the two girls walked the streets of Jericho, peering into shops here and there. The raven haired one looking bored, the blonde one all too excited. It was a funny sight to see really. To polar opposites shopping.

Wednesday walked past a window. Another dress shop. But this time she spotted something out the corner of here eye. Black. A whole section of black dresses. Oh this was the shop for her.

She turned to tell Enid her decision to enter the shop but was only met with a grinning Xavier.

"Have you been following me?" Wednesday asked, bordely looking him up and down. From his ridiculously smile mischievous smirk, to the way he held his hands in his pockets as he leaned down to meet her, albeit, shorter stature.

"And so what if I have?" Xavier countered, grinning even wider, blowing the hair out of his face.

Wednesday rolled her eyes.

Xavier scoffed, "well, I just wanted to ask you out. On a date."

"Of course," Wednesday answered, holding back a grin in response to Xavier's.

Xavier chuckled and pulled her in for a hug, planting a large kiss to her temple. "I'll see you later then!" He told her enthusiastically.

"Yes alright," Wednesday groaned and shoved him off of her, "later then."
