"And then Kent fell over!" Ajax exclaimed as he bursted into a fit of laughter, the rest of the table followed suit. Wednesday sat there stiffly as the rest wiped the tears from their eyes with amused smiles on their faces. She felt Xavier's arm snake it's way around her waist and she let it sit there.

This was how it usually was, Enid, Ajax, Xavier and Wednesday all sat together and joked around (minus Wednesday.) "But I bet we all had fun learning about Wednesday's ancestor." Xavier smirked at Wednesday and planted a kiss on her cheek. Enid smiled at the interaction, Xavier's an affectionate guy and somehow Wednesday's allowing it.

"Oh my gosh yes! I know we're not all in the same class but we have the same curriculum. Holy shit, Professor Moore looked so hot today!" Enid gushed, Ajax groaned and rolled his eyes, "Your boyfriend's right here you know." He commented, pointing to himself.

Enid smiled at him sheepishly, she nodded her head and bit her lip, "I know." She winked. He smiled and shook his head. "But Wednesday your great aunt times one hundred sounds awesome." Enid steered the conversation back. Wednesday shrugged, "she's buried in my backyard."

The table fell silent. "Well, whatever they could dig up when we bought the Addams family estate. Obviously she wasn't buried there at first, we just moved her." Wednesday told them matter of factly as she continued to eat her food.

Enid grimaced, "Is your whole family there?" She asked. "Yeah, how do you get them all there?" Ajax added. "We find every Addams family member that's been buried and we just transfer them there. Some of us were drowned or burned so obviously we have some missing. But for the most part we have everyone." Wednesday told them as if it were nothing.

"Oh..." Enid said as she stared into space and looked as if she was trying to get the image of dead bodies out of her head. Which she probably was. Xavier chuckled and kissed Wednesday's cheek once more.

This time the feeling crawled back up. Her lungs developed holes and the air was escaping. Claustrophobia in your lover's arms was unheard of but Wednesday just had to leave. She had to go. She had to. With whitening skin and shaky hands she released herself from Xavier's grip and hurriedly grabbed her things and made her escape.

"What the fuck...." Xavier mumbled and scrambled to follow Wednesday. He was worried. "Wednesday wait! Wait!" He shouted as he sped up to her. "What's wrong?" He asked as they stood in the middle of an empty hallway.

"It was just becoming suffocating." Wednesday snapped. Xavier stepped back, "what was becoming suffocating?" He questioned, reaching out for her. Wednesday backed away, "this. You. Love." She sighed. "W-what?"

"It's just too much for me sometimes! You have to know when to back off." Wednesday said pointedly. "Me? Well I'm sorry I'm craving a bit more humanity than you have to offer." Xavier retorted, "you know, like love and affection. I'm always giving to you, you never give to me."

"I'm new at all of this! Of course I don't know what you want! You don't even tell me these things!" Wednesday defended. "Yeah because we're always focusing on you!" Xavier shouted. "It's always about you!" Wednesday shook her head and opened her mouth, "Xavier everything I'm doing is for you. But ai can't sometimes, sometimes I just can't-"but Xavier cut her off, "God sometimes you're so selfish. I- why can't you be like everyone else?" Xavier was tugging at his hair.

That seemed to reverberate through Wednesday, it truly struck a chord. The comment was bouncing around in her brain. Many people had wanted to make her like everyone else, but it never hurt this much before. Maybe it wasn't the comment...it was who said it.

Her eyes watered but she cleared her throat, "okay." Xavier seemed to snap out of his trance and realize what he said. "Wednesday I-no. That is now what I meant- I honestly just wasn't thinking straight." Wednesday shrugged, "when you're thinking straight you keep things to yourself. But when you let your thoughts run free the ones that escape can be the ones you wished to keep enclosed." She informed him, "you might not have been thinking straight, but you were speaking truthfully."

Wednesday turned around and walked away from Xavier fast paced. "Wednesday.. .I'm sorry." Xavier called out after her, but she was long gone. Xavier sighed and shouted "FUCK!" as he kicked the brick wall, mumbling cussing as he rubbed his toe. He walked it off back to his dorm.

Wednesday felt nauseous and angry. She felt it with each and every one of her steps towards her dorm, and push her to slam her door. She turned around to rant to Thing but realized he wasn't there. And rage piled with grief.

It was as if her bottomless pit was dug deeper. Was it possible that she had somehow pushed all of the
good feelings back down there? Where they would fall forever? When she had just gotten to taste them?

What would Thing do if he were here? What would he do...she wished she could have him back. Just for a day. But then she remembered...Goody's book of Shadows. It could possibly bring the dead back to life and that meant possibly having Thing back for however long she could.

But how would she get it, if it lived in a little glass box at Pilgrim world?
