"What do you mean he just vanished!?"
These were Roxy's words as Leo held his left ear as he felt as if the speaker in it had just been blown out. He had told the group that he couldn't find Gregory anywhere in the Pizzaplex since the start of 4:50am, and they had various reactions.
Monty was worried, but didn't show it, Chica was upset because she was the last one to see him and she had lost his signal as soon as he entered the vent. Freddy was worried, but his worry sprung from the fact that he had a sort of fatherly mentality. Hence why he was called the father of the band.
Roxy was in full panic mode as she began to hyperventilate as flashbacks plagued her. Memories she didn't recall cropped up and she clutched her head and fell to one knee.
"No... No no no, we can't lose him!" She said frantically. "Oh God, this is Amanda all over again! We have to find him! We have to..."
"Hey hey, calm down Roxy." Leo said as he went to comfort the distressed female wolf. "We can still find him. This isn't Amanda. We'll get him back. I know we will. Take a deep breath. In... And out."
Though they couldn't breathe, Roxy did it anyway and she began to calm down. She gave Leo a thankful smile as the two stood up. Freddy looked at the two and smiled. Leo always knew what to do and what to say to calm her down when she had an attack like this.
"Where should we search first?" Freddy asked.
"We'll split off into groups of two." Leo said. "Freddy, you and Monty will search the main Atrium. Roxy and Chica will search Rockstar Row. I'll search the entrance area. We'll find him.
One of the cameras buzzed before deactivating as an unseen ally began his own search for Gregory. And he had a pretty good idea where he might be. Under their very feet.
The mysterious helper passed through the Pizzaplex invisible to everything and everyone. He entered Roxy Raceway and made his way through the construction area before flying into a massive sinkhole in the attraction. He had to stop and groan at the fact that they really did this.
It was an accident just waiting to happen and would definitely keep the Raceway closed indefinitely. Poor Roxy.
He reached the bottom of the sinkhole and made his way to the building that was meant to end it all. Freddy Fazbear's Pizza Place. He took a moment to gaze at the decrepit building, surprised it was mostly intact despite being set ablaze. He knew Afton was going to come back, he had a gut feeling about it. He just didn't expect such a novel means of escaping the Nightmare.
Damn that VR game. The Freddy Fazbear Virtual Experience, created by Steel Wool Games was Afton's out and was also the birth of Glitchtrap. Afton had tried to take control of the Glamrocks subtly but he had protected them by acting as a sort of antivirus for them. He shook his head. Now was not the time for distractions. He had a child to save.
When he entered the old pizzeria, he noticed just how many Recharge Stations were in it now. Three of them were currently in use as Roxanne, Chica and Elizabeth were recharging as the spirit glided through the restaurant and found a suit that definitely didn't belong here. His eyes widened as he realized that he had found Gregory in a deathtrap.
Gregory began to stir back into consciousness as his eyes began to open. He groaned as his head throbbed.
"Owww..." He groaned. "I'm gonna need so much ice after this. Where am I now?"
"In a place you shouldn't be..." A ghostly voice replied. "And in grave danger..."
"W-Who said that!?" Gregory stuttered. "Afton!? Is that you!?"
