Lydia's POV

I am back at sitting in the back of the classroom like before, the window is open and I am freezing. It's 3rd period, our timetable goes as;

Lesson, break, lesson, lesson, lunch ,lesson, lesson.

Luckily, we aren't writing because if we were mine wouldn't be the best, my hands are shaking and I can hardly focus on what is being said due to the coldness. It's -4 degrees outside and that is very cold for England.

We are watching a movie for a change since we have been doing a lot of written work lately so our teacher thought it was time for us to take a break. We are sitting where we want, Rea is sitting at the back with me and Luca.

"I am hungry." Luca groans and I look at him, "Do you have any food?"

"I do actually." I pick my bag up from the floor and open it up, I take the packet of biscuits out and pass them to Luca.

"This is why you are my best friend, I love you bestie." He chuckled and I roll my eyes and close my bag before putting it back down.

A note was thrown on our table and landed in front of me so I open it.

I scoff and take my pen out.

I have my eyes on someone else, so no sorry

I throw the paper back to her desk and she opened it and looked back at me, I smile and she looked away and I shrug. Nobody is actually paying attention to the screen, the teacher has seen it already and just lets us talk to one another quietly.

"Rea." I whisper and she hummed, "Someone gave me their number and now she won't stop looking at me because I rejected her."

"Who is it?" She asked and I look at Anna and she follows my eyes and looked at her, "I will sort it out at the end of the lesson, just speaking to her."

I nod and we look away and her foot brushed against mine and I smile and run my fingers through my hair and sigh.

"These biscuits are amazing." Luca whispered and I chuckle, "Can you come to my game tonight?"

"Sorry, I am busy." I say and he nods, "I am taking my new cat to the vets."

"It's okay." He smiled and I smile back before looking over to the board at the film on the screen. In the side of my eye I see Rea looking at me, her cheeks a darker shade which isn't noticeable from a distance but it's clear to me, and there's a small smile on her face.

Class ended, I was asked to stay behind so now I am sat at the back of the class and the rest of the room is empty. If I had to be honest, I have no idea where the teacher disappeared to, I don't even know what she's called. But she ended up returning, sitting down in front of me and looking right at me.

"Thank you for waiting, I had to take care of something outside." She smiled and I nod while shuffling around in my seat since I had no idea what to do, "Mrs Reyes has told me that something happened between you and Ryan Avila, I was just wondering if there is anything going on about it still being said in my class, and if you are uncomfortable you can move seats."

"No, and no. It's all fine now and thanks for the offer." I answer and she nods, "He hasn't been bothering me since I haven't seen him but I can tell you after when he returns."

"That would be great, I have noticed you been feeling off lately, is everything okay?" She asked me and I nod slowly, "Word has been going around about your mum's passing."

I would do anything to get her to shut up right now and just allow me to leave.

"I am fine about all of that, yes it has happened and yes it has bothered me, but I am fine and it isn't effecting my school work." I answer and she sighs.

"Lydia, you are behind in my class and possibly others, you don't take part in tasks and I have seen you day dreaming quite a lot. Are you sure about that?" She looks at me and she is feeling sympathetic but it isn't my fault for feeling like this honestly. I don't see why she can't ignore this or why she can't just give me extra work to work on instead of this talk.

"I don't want to come off as rude or disrespectful when i say this, but I personally don't want you asking me about how I do my work and the amount I do. I'll admit it, lately it has been hard so I am taking things one step at a time, and that's my school work also." I sigh and she nods. Teachers don't tend to go off and yell at you when you give them attitude with a good reason, it's one thing I like about this school, "Could I please have some of the work I missed or need to do, I will do it as homework's and bring it back by the end of Friday?"

"Of course." She smiled and I gave her a thanking smile before I get my bag and she walks over to her desk to collect the papers from her drawers.

It's around 5 minutes later when she gives me everything and I put them into my bag and stand up and a wave of dizziness came over me and turned into dizziness and a headache which nearly made me sit back down.

"Thank you, have a good rest of the day." I smile before I leave the classroom and into the corridor where there's a few students walking around and take a deep breath while going through my bag for water but I don't have any.

My hands go into my pockets as I move quickly to the library where Rea is sitting reading. I go over to her and she looks at me.

"Do you have any water on you? I am going to pass out." I question as she helped me sit down and she searched through her bag and got me paracetamol and water.

I take them quickly and she had her hand on my lower back and I rest my head on her shoulder as I take a deep breath. People can't see, if they did they wouldn't say anything.

After a few minutes I lift my head from her and she looks at me, her eyes searching mine.

"I have extra English work because I am behind, this is amazing honestly it's the best topic." I brought up and she smiles, "Can I come to yours after the vets?"

"Of course, my mum misses you." She smiles and I smiled before resting my head against the seat, "I miss you also."
