Lydia's POV

We don't say anything, she just reads.

Each passing second made my heart beat faster to the point I had to take a sip of water to calm myself.

It took her quite some time to read it all, but it was worth it. She finished reading, closed the letter and looked at me.

"It's not much, I was tired and I could have wrote more and do better." I chuckle and her fingers hooked under my chin before she pulled me in and kissed me.

She kisses me softly, a delicate kiss which makes me fall back so I lay down and she lays on top of me, her lips not leaving mine.

My hands fall to her waist as she cupped my cheeks, they slide under her shirt since there's a desperate need to feel her skin against mine. My stomach swarms with butterflies, fluttering around every inch of my stomach and causing me to smile.

She pulls away from the kiss, her eyes looking into mine as she smiles.

"Thank you, thank you." She whispers and I hummed as my smile grew, "It was perfect."

We smile before she leans in and kissed me again, it was the same softness, the same feeling. It lasts until she pulls me on top of her and I rest my head on her chest.

Her heart is racing. Fast.

My fingers trace along hers, our fingertips touching as my leg overlaps hers.

"Lydia?" She whispers after a few minutes of silence fell between us and I hummed, "I don't know what I would do without you."

I smile and she gently rubbed my back and my eyes close. The smell of her was all that could be smelt, I loved it. Vanilla.

Her fingers tightened around mine, a comforting grip which made me smile. Her heart beat slowed to its usual speed, just the sound of her heart beat could send me off to sleep saying that I am quite sleepy right now.

Soon enough, I fall back asleep.

"Wake up, Lydia wake up." Someone whispers and it did wake me up slowly. The person was soon shaking me which wasn't the best.

It was Ryan.

"Come on, there's someone in the house, they broke in." He whispers and I groan and climb out of the bed, wrapping myself up in a hoodie.

The bed is empty so we go through the window, I do hear footsteps downstairs and I'm guessing they heard a smash or something? We climb through the window, luckily Rea has bins and everything below her window which I assume helps her sneak out. Where is she?

He grabbed my hand which caught me by surprise and he takes me over to Rachel who is on the phone to the police, Rea is there also and she lets out a sigh of relief and wrapped her arms around me.

"Are you okay?" She whispered and I hummed and hugged her back, "Thank god."

"She was going to go in for you but mum told me to instead, she was pretty worried." Ryan admits and her grip tightened on me, "She was fast asleep, who knows what would happen if the dude came to the bedroom."

"Don't say that." Rea looked at him and he apologised before she pulled away and her fingers tangle with mine.

"The police are on the way, you guys go to Lydia's house, I will wait here." Rachel told and we nod and quickly leave.

We are basically running down the street, it must be early morning since it's dark outside but I know it isn't late night, definitely early morning. Plus curtains in houses are closed.

It didn't take line for us to arrive at the house, we knock on the door, we knock for quite some times until the door unlocked and opened.

amy father was confused, half awake and confused.

"Someone broke into the house, can we stay here? Our mum told us to come over too." Rea spoke and he nods.

"Is anyone injured?" He questioned and I shake my head, he lets out a sigh of relief while opening the door to allow us inside, "You can go to Lydia's room."

We all nod, Rea and Ryan taking their shoes off and I realised I ran in socks, I forgot to take them off. The three of us go upstairs, my father making himself a coffee and deciding to go help with Rachel which is understandable.

I open up the door and see Nala sleeping on my bed which caused me to smile. I walk over to the wardrobe, pick out spare pillows and blankets before going over to the spare mattress and making a bed.

"There yoy go." I smile, looking at Ryan who thanked me and Rea closed the door and the curtains.

I sit down on the bed, waking up the cat sleeping who meowed and walked over to me as I lay down. The room is dark, I feel Rea get in bed beside me and Ryan getting into his bed also, then there's silence.

My body turns to Rea, our eyes lock in the darkness, her leg brushing against mine and I move closer and rest my head on her chest before she wrapped her arms around me.

"Goodnight."
