It was two weeks since Eda's accident and there was no improvement in her memory at least not that he had heard. Serkan was exhausted, over the past fourteen days he had gotten about twenty hours of sleep. Myrna had the flu and then Myrna decided to quit so Kiraz had no nanny other than Serkan. Ayfer was still sick with a bad cold that developed into bronchitis. Serkan had asked his anne to watch Kiraz today so he could get some work done.

Aydan picked Kiraz up from Serkan's house, she was worried about her son, he looked awful he had retreated into himself since his encounter with Eda at the farm, "Serkan, why didn't you call last week? I would have taken Kiraz at any time you know that."

"I know anne, I'm asking now. Myrna quit. She had the flu and I was holding out thinking she was coming back. I've either been working at home or taking Kiraz to the office."

"And what about you? What are you doing for you? Are you eating and sleeping? Don't even bother to answer that Serkan, I can see that you aren't doing either. Kiraz has already lost one parent don't do this to yourself, don't do this to her and to us. Please," Aydan begged him. This situation was beyond hard for everyone but he couldn't put himself in the grave over it he needed to have hope.

Serkan knew that what happened with Eda at the farm was eating him alive and he was doing the best he could with work and for Kiraz, "If you could take her for today anne? Let's just start there."

Aydan drove home with Kiraz there had to be something that she could do. Ever since Serkan walked in from the stables that day and told them what had happened she could see that he was using the only defense mechanism that he knew. He had started to build those walls around his heart again. She couldn't let that happen. Aydan didn't want to lose the man that Eda helped him become. No today she and Kiraz were going to be outside and be as loud and as visible as possible. It was time that Eda started to see her daughter. This beautiful girl needed her anne and if Aydan was being honest with herself she wanted Eda back too. Today was the day that they would start to work on bringing Eda out of that shell she had built for herself.

Eda was drawing outside when she saw Aydan and Kiraz across the way playing in the pool. She had stopped drawing and was enjoying watching them play. She was so engrossed in their antics that she didn't realize that she had visitors.

"Hello, may we join you?" asked a young blonde woman. Eda had seen her face in pictures, she thought her name was Ceren. The other woman's name was Melo or Melek.

"Yes, please come sit. I was just drawing."

"Oh I see Aydan hanim has Kiraz, but why isn't Serkan. . . . ." started Melo but she was silenced by a look from the blonde.

"You can finish your sentence, I don't care for unfinished sentences." Both women just looked at each other.

Melo finished, "I wondered why Serkan wasn't in the office if Kiraz was here. He's been caring for her and working at home or bringing her into the office when he works. He's probably sick, he didn't look good yesterday."

"Melo, Eda doesn't care to hear about that. He isn't her problem."

Was she really as heartless as they made her sound? Probably. She still had made no attempt to talk to Serkan or spend time with Kiraz. Today was the first time that she had seen her in almost two weeks. She had missed seeing both of them but no one gave her information on them after all she had repeatedly said that she didn't know him and couldn't help him. Why would they tell her anything?

"What brings you here today?"

Ceren tried for a positive attitude for both Eda and Serkan's sake, "We were wondering if you would like to come with Melo, Pyril, Fifi, and I tonight to celebrate Leyla's birthday. We're going out for karaoke. We thought that it might be nice to hang out with the girls, maybe give you a chance to get to know us with no pressure. We go all the time and have a lot of fun together. Well you don't know that but we do. You don't have to let us know right now but think about it and text us if you want to go. We'd like to have you come."
