It’s ok Sid….. it’s gonna be fine just a deep breathe….they love you and I am sure they will never question you” Sana said placing her hand on Sid’s shoulder. Currently they are standing outside Sana’s home in Delhi. Sid was nervous all through the way while Sana and Shanaya were trying to light up his mood but now as he is standing outside her home and seeing the same surrounding after many years had made him nostalgic and he hell nervous to meet her parents. All his childhood memory is flashing in front of his eyes. His parents, his Sanu everything is revolving around him which is making him restless.
“I am pressing the doorbell” Sana said extending her arms but Sid stopped her “no wait… wait”

“Sid we are literally standing here from last half and hour and now it’s enough. I know you are nervous but I am hungry so I can’t wait anymore” Saying so Sana pressed the doorbell draining colour from Sid’s face. He tried to run but Sana held his hand.
Sana mom opened the door and was baffled to see Sana so she rubbed her eyes.
Am I dreaming? Or this really the apple of my eyes standing in front of me?” she said in a dreamy way making Sana giggle.
Sana’s father too came listening to her wife’s voice his eyes shined seeing Sana
“Sanu….” He said and Sana immediately hugged them both “ I missed to both so much” She said with a pouty face while her parents caressed her hairs “ we missed you to bacha”

After a while Sukh ji eyes fell on Sid “you brought your new friend along with you Sanu” Sukh ji said while gulped his saliva and Sana yelled.
“yes he is my friend and you both too know him” Sana said with a mischievous glint in her eyes making her parent frown in confusion “we know him, really? They looked at Sid closely and tried to recognize.
“who is he? I can’t recognize” Pammi ji said pouting
“off hoo mumma try to think more, he was our neighbour, my childhood bestie and your favorite boy” Sana said again and this time Pammi ji eyes widen
“is he…. No it’s not possible…. How can he?” pammi said with a baffled expression.
“what happen Pammi?” asked Sukh ji seeing his wife’s reaction but Sana giggled as she knew that her mother has recognized him, she can she the shine in her eyes.

“is he Sid?” pammi ji asked making Sid’s and Sukh ji’s eyes widen.
“yes momsi you are right” Sana said while Pammi ji was staring at Sid.
“Sid….” Pammi ji said moving towards him while Sid was overwhelmed seeing her again after a long time. She was like a mother figure to her.
“Nam….Namaste Aunty” Sid tried to say while Pammi ji took him a bearly hug making Sid rooted in his place.
“where were you my son all these years I have missed you so much” she said rubbing his back.
Sid eyes turned watery and his heart churned, he hasn’t expected this reaction. Although Sana told him that her parents misses him but he didn’t believed her. But now getting a hug from her mother Sid couldn’t help his tears.

Sana looked at them glossy eyes she knew her plan will work, seeing her family Sid will try to forget his past haunted memories.
Pammi ji broke the hug as Sukh ji approached him “Namaste Uncle…” Sid said looking at him and bent to touch his feet but Sukh ji stopped him in mid and hugged him “I am so happy to see you again….where were you all this years? And Sanu how did you guys meet?” Sid’s face turned serious hearing him.
“papa I met him the college and please can you guys do rest of your interrogation later….. I am damn hungry” Sana said trying to divert the topic.

“yes… yes sure…. Come inside… Sid I will make your favourite dish today” Pammi ji said as they entered inside.
“Hawww not fair… you will make only Sid’s favorite food what about me?” Sana asked with a pout face making others laugh.
Sid looked around the house as he could feel the churning in his stomach. He was feeling nervous.
“Sid… sit here” Pammi ji made her sit on the couch “now tell me how are you? And you have became so lean don’t you eat properly… does your mother still doesn’t take care of you?” Pammi ji said in a one go and then realized what she has uttered
“mumma…. Will you only ask about Sid? What about me? And Mumma Sid has came here after so long time let him take a deep breathe” Sana said jokingly while Sid was feeling so uncomfortable now. That’s why he didn’t wanted to come here. He knew all these question would be asked and he is still not comfortable to reply those.
“yes pammi let the children freshen up, they must be tired after the long journey” Sukh ji commented as he could feel Sid getting uncomfortable.

“yess…. You know where the the guest room is? Go and freshen up… till then I will some snacks for you guys” Pammi ji said making Sid nod and he immediately got up to leave.

As soon as Sid left Sukh ji looked at Sana “ I know you guys have so much to ask but I can’t tell everything…. All I can tell is I met Sid in college and he was my neighbour too.  Initially I didn’t knew that he is the same Sid as he was completely a different person. He use to live alone and never talked with anyone. Even when I got to know that he is same Sid he refused to accept it and it took lot of persuasion for him to accept it. You guys know how his parents was and it’s all related to them. I can’t tell you more. He will tell you when he feels comfortable but please don’t anything from him and behave normally”
“but where are his parents” Sukh ji asked

“they are not with him. He lived alone and he works too to fulfil his expenses” Sana said

“My poor Sid…. Must have gone through so much while living alone but now I will not let him feel alone. We will make him feel home. He is my like my son” Pammi ji said while Sukh ji nodded.

“okay now you guys wait here I will just go and change” sayin so Sana ran towards guest room to meet Sid.

As soon as she entered guest room she saw Sid sitting there with his head on his hands.
“Sid…” she said
“I told you ….. I told you this was a bad idea… coming here… I… I don’t know how to react, the same surrounding it’s giving me back old memories, more bad memories than good one and above all the question of your parents, I don’t know how to answer them…. I don’t know…. I….” he started with his ramble while Sana knelt in front of him and cupped hos face.
“Sid…. Calm down…” She tried to say but Sid didn’t listen

“no… Shehnaaz I can’t…. I can’t calm down…. I… want to leave… I….” his words paused in mid as Sana placed her lips on his to shut him up and her kiss immediately calmed him, he didn’t kissed her back but he was just feeling her kiss. Feeling his breath getting back to normal she broke the  kiss and cupped his face “Sid look at me” she said while Sid obliged

“Sid… now need to face it now….you haven’t anything wrong. You don’t need to feel ashamed or guilty for anything. My parents are just concerned for you that’s why they are asking so many question. They love you Sid. Haven’t you how emotional mumma got seeing you and papa was happy too, so please Sid don’t be pessimistic. Everything is gonna be fine.” She said kissing his forehead and then joined their forehead when suddenly Sana’s stomach growled making them look at each other and they both burst in laughter.

“now go and freshen up else I will die of starvation” Sana said with pout making Sid chuckle. Kissing her nose he got up and went inside the washroom.

“I hope everything this trip will help Sid to come out of this guilt”
