They aren't. They're just 'things', right? Monsters who roam around in the dark seeking to feed upon whatever it is they feel they deserve. And to aimlessly destroy everything in their path because of what they think they are.
It wasn't their fault, really. They just so happened to wander in the wrong place at the wrong time and ended up becoming something they did not wish to be. Some would describe it as their worst nightmare, a fate worse than death, but most.. Most didn't know what to make of it.
They lurk around the corners, hiding from prying eyes and waiting to snatch unsuspecting prey. And when they find what they seek..
Then the chaos begins.
