Battle Scars (Yang x Male Reader) RWBY Vol. 4

Finding the Way Again

Opening with Jaune's perspective. 

Ruby, Qrow, Jaune, Nora, and Ren were now fighting a pack of beowolves along the path in the woods. Each of them was fighting one beowolf each. Jaune charged the beowolf in front of him and used his aegis semblance creating a larger shield through his real shield disorienting it before he swung his sword at it and cut off the beowolf's head. At that moment Jaune heard a familiar voice that he had heard occasionally as he slept. It was Ozpin's voice.

Ozpin: Watch you're left!

Jaune was confused but looked to his left and saw that a beowolf was lunging at him from the tree above. Jaune responded by turning his shield to the beowolf and made use of his aegis semblance again causing the beowolf to crash into his shield. Jaune then took opportunity of the situation and stabbed the beowolf in the head killing it. The other all quickly dealt with the beowolves they were fighting and turned to look at Jaune surprised.

Nora: Woah Jaune! How did you see him coming?

Ruby: Yeah, he looked like he came out of nowhere.

Jaune looked at everyone nervously.

Jaune: I... I just sort of... reacted. You know? Sort of like a reflex.

Qrow seemed to look at Jaune suspiciously but didn't say anything. The others didn't seem to fully buy what he said either.

Ren: Jaune. I've had my fair share of "reflexes" and that's not what they look like.

Ruby looked at Jaune a bit concerned.

Ruby: Jaune, if there's something going on you can tell us. We're right here.

Jaune got nervous again.

Jaune: It's... It's... nothing. I promise. 

Ruby sighed disappointedly and pulled out the map.

Ruby: Well if you're sure.

Ruby then began to read the map. 

Ruby: We should probably hurry. If we don't run into any more grimm we might be able to make it to the next village by sundown.

Qrow: Well knowing my luck we'd best get going. There's no telling how many grimm can be out in the wild and they're never that far from each other.

Ren seemed a bit troubled as Qrow said that.

Ren: Believe me, I know.

Jaune: Well we'd better hurry then. What's the next town.

Ruby began to read the map carefully.

Ruby: A town called... Hee... gan.. bay... na.

Ren: Higanbana. My parents once took me there. It's a well protected village with a popular inn.

Nora: Which means no camping in the rain.

Ruby sighed in awe.

Ruby: I'm really looking forward to that. Let's go.

Jaune walked off with the rest of the group luckily there didn't seem to be any grimm. As they walked however Jaune began to continue to hear Ozpin's voice.

Ozpin: Jaune. I know you can hear me.

Jaune shook his head in denial as he began to mutter to himself.

Jaune: I must be going crazy.

Qrow: You sure there isn't something going on?

Jaune looked up to his side startled to see Qrow walking next to him.
