20. KNOWN YET UNKNOWN

Chahat dressed up in a black shirt with white pants. 
“Is he really that handsome?” she thought while rubbing some cream on her face.

“Tring!! Tring!!” her phone ringed it's loudest making her eardrums to burst.

Anyhow she picked up the call.
“Hello Angad.. what... noway...are you mad... no it's really awkward and weird..... no...hello...hello...” Her phone died. “Why am I so unlucky!” she palmed her forehead.

She prepared some pepper spray , a knife for her safety. She put on her denim jacket over the shirt. Angad would come later and asked her to wait for him infront of his 'so called Step brother’.

The moon was glowing at its brightest. Her tears just looked like the pearls shining in that pretty night.

“Beta” an overwhelming voice engulfed her.

“Baba? Are you here?” she asked searching for the voice.

“Rai.. I'm here at your heart.. not only me but my dear wife is also here with me..” A man came out of the blues and shouldered her.

“Pops are you here for real?” she asked.

He came infront of her where the moon reflected the face of the man. He was a straight , tall figure. He smiled and caressed her hairs.
“You know what.. I never left you.. I'm always with you..” he said.

“I feel like why I'm living in this nasty world? This world don't deserve me Pops...” she cried. “First Mumma left me and then you.. why Fate is so cruel to me... And when I loved a guy he too hates me now...” She sobbed while he listened her queitly.

“Beta.. I see you are struggling to overcome hurdles but do you still think you only face challenges?” he asked.

Rai wiped her tears and furrowed her brows.. “Why do you think so?”

He pressed his lips and sighed. “ Every one has ups and downs in life... You have seen ECGs.. where straight lines means no life... Maybe you got it..” he ended..

“But..” she opened her eyes and realised it was a dream. “Liar!” she cursed her father.

“shhh.. shhh..” Angad whispered near Chahat.

“Wtf! What's wrong?” she asked.
“After you came from the dinner, you are looking very tired.. your eyes are swollen.. Haven't you slept well last night?” he asked.

She yawned..while typing the data  in the computer.

“For God Sake you don't call me to dinner again atleast not in this life.. it was so embarrassing...” she mumbled the last sentence.

“Like what happened... He did something to you?” He was concerned.

Flashback.
She knocked the door, “Yaa Come in..” a cold voice welcomed her..

“ Aren't you tired working all day little brother..?” he asked with a worried voice. She realised that he was talking about his brother Angad.

“Excuse me.. Sir? It's not Angad... It's me..” she spoke up. Unknowingly her heart was racing though she was facing his back. When he turned back to see her, her eyes went bigger..
Realisation struck them..
“You?!” they both startled in horror by seeing each other.
She gulped down her saliva nervously when she saw the familiar figure she once touched. The same thing happened with him. He didn't expected he would meet the girl whom he had one Night Stand.

She was about to plea but Angad bumped with her and she have to dine with the two brothers. She sucked the apple juice and put  the vegetables in  her mouth.
