Deal To Love

Arrival of Shraddha.

Time flies and soon the so called happy couple were doing good. But Rai she was facing the same trauma.  While combing her hair, her hair strands broke out. Also she noticed her hairline  indeed lost the hairs. She simply took the vermilion and filled the partition between the hair when she heard someone calling, “Aaye Raam! Kaali billi ki bhi itna kala nazar na hai jitna is Raj gharane ki Maharani ki hain..”. Everyday tension was the cause of her hair loss she guessed. She often get unexplainable fever and the loss of appetite causing her to loss her weight instantly. She looked fragile and sick though Keshav don't compromise anything whenever it comes to her health.
She was tired and exhausted hearing
taunts by her own relatives.
"areey.. Keshav ji ne shadi kisi churel ya dayan se ki hogi jo baar baar unke pariwar mein esa ho raha hain.." "Arey these are all non sense I think she is purposely doing all these. Remember her father died to save Vasudev ji?" "Yes you are right.. this is so cruel.. how can one do something like this.." "For property.. for fame and money.." etc.

"Rai are you okay?" he asked. "Yes.. you know I will be always okay.. yes fir sure I'm little tired not little but very much tired but I know you will always support me." She kissed his cheeks.
Keshav was surprised as she never kissed her after their pregnancy.

"Rai.. this is not done...I'm missing your lips and body can I?" He pouted. While Rai nodded in disbelief. They looked at each other's eyes.
"Keshav.. promise me you won't leave me.. " "Rai..look I don't know what's written in our destiny and I cannot promise you what's not in my destiny but anyways I promise I will never do anything that will hurt your feelings." He kissed her forehead. He then looked again in her eyes which were already lost in his orbs. Without his consent, his hands reached on her waist and tightened the grip to hold her.

They were just about to kiss when Rai felt something wet between her thighs. She jerked off and quickly went to the washroom. "Keshav?" she shouted. He understood what she meant so without wasting anytime he called the ambulance and registered her name in the reception.

After waiting for almost a hour, they heard screams of crying. Happy tears started to flow from his eyes.
"Doctor? Can I visit my wife?" he asked as the doctor came outside with a bright smile on his face.

"Sure.. But Mr I must say your wife is so brave. Her condition was not cool but she fought and came back." Keshav looked at the doctor confusingly.

"Wh-what happened to her?"
"Sir we are extremely sorry that we couldn't get your permission but it was an emergency. The position was very critical so we decided to do a C-section and yes we succeeded but it was not possible if your wife didn't co-operate us." He walked past over him. Keshav remained confused.
He went inside wearing the green surgeon coat.
"Rai?"
"Huh?" She opened her eyes and found the voice who called her.
Keshav pulled a tool and sat near her bed.
"Where is our baby?" he asked holding her hands.
"There" she said in a feeble tone.
Keshav 's eyes watered as he took a step towards the cradle.
"Rai, she is so pretty like you.." His joyous tone made her feel relief.

"Don't worry Mr Keshav her eyes are hazel too."

He softly took her in his arms.
He then kept her back in the cradle and moved to the bed. "Well Doctor said you fought with life ... Anything serious happened?" He asked.

"No- Nothing happened to me what would happen to me?" She simply refused him ignoring his eyes. "I'm just tired and exhausted." She sighed.

"Rai? Are you okay beta?" Vasanti came. Rai nodded positively and smiled.

"Aai it's a baby girl.." Keshav squealed.
"OH! Where is she?" She asked excitedly.
"Aai? Where is Uma?" Rai asked.
"Shanta is looking at her"
"What!! Aai how could you just leave her alone infact to a maid?" Rai immediately raised her voice.

"Rai? Watch your tone!" Keshav warned.
"Arrey? Keshav why are you scolding her.. Remember she is my daughter! And a daughter has rights to fight with her mother... Anyways Rai.. Your baba is there to look after her... Your aai isn't that irresponsible.."
"Aai don't mind my words please.." She pleaded her.
Vasanti picked their baby in her arms.
" Leave all the drama here.. And tell me which name should you give her."

"Shraddha!" Rai and Keshav looked at each other as they both spoke at unison.

After keeping her at the cradle, the nurse took her to another room.
"Its a C-section baby so it will be better if we provide her a suitable environment." The family nodded and looked the nurse till she closed the door.

"Mr Singhania the doctor is coming for your wife's checkup it would be nice if you could wait outside" The nurse requested them.
Vasanti and Keshav obeyed the nurse and left her inside the room.

KESHAV'S POV.
Its been two days post her delivery. She was given proper treatment as far I'm noticing and checking but one thing I'm not getting why she is ignoring my eyes. Its really something very much serious that she is facing all alone but how could I know.
My trance broke when the nurse there came out with a file.
"O Mr Keshav..I was just searching you. Huh! So please sign up the paper as  we are planning to discharge Mrs Singhania by tonight.”
I nodded my head and took the paper which she forwarded me.
“Umm.. However I haven't seen a single person like her I mean she is very brave and bold.”
I was stumbled when she said not a single person.
“Sister? What do you mean... Is she okay?” I asked after signing up the paper.
However the nurse took my paper and smiled.“Looks like you don't know what happened to your wife?”
“Sorry.. to waste your time but can you elaborate?”  I asked as the knot of curiosity kept tangling me with fears and anxiety.
She nodded and excused herself. From then I realised something huge happened which she is hiding from me.
The nurse returned from the room having a pink coloured folder.
“See Mr Keshav.. I am sorry but I think you should know it.”
I looked at the folder and opened the first page as I read aloud.
“Pre delivery Diagnosis Reports.. Mrs Rai Keshav Singhania.... My heart skipped a beat when the nurse pointed at the wore ‘Cancer’.

“Mrs Rai is suffering on Third Stage of Cancer. Its not that cancer women don't deliver but when we told her about the reports she broke into tears..only one name she kept repeating.. what will happen to Keshav and Shraddha and Uma?” But also the process was becoming harder for  her to push so we decided to use the anesthesia and the C-section delivery.
“Third Stage?” I asked again.
“Okay very sorry to say this but only miracle can help her... Yes it's hard to save the life but you know not all things happen due to science some are magic by the Lord himself so keep praying.” By saying this the nurse left me all speechless.
I felt weak on my knees. My world paused. But still didn't realised when I found myself inside the room where Rai was lying. i gulped my lump and sat on the tool. I then looked the figure was peacefully sleeping so I carefully brushed her rough hairs and kissed her forehead.
“I'm promising you Rai.. nothing will happen to us...and our baby.” I wiped my tears and rushed outside the room.
I ran outside the nursing home until I allowed my legs to stop.
And finally my legs felt stronger when they stopped just before the temple I carried her. Maybe it's just a test of our love..and I trust in God.. He will never do any bad to her.

Yes I know I posted after a long time as honestly I became very lazy as I can't still process that I shifted to a whole new city leaving my Best Friend there.
So I'm still busy sending her goodbyes and good night messages. And honestly I kinda lacking thoughts to write the chapter. So yeah... anyways I finished up writing this long chapter.
