Avery told you that she need to see the headmaster because of her classes, and left you alone with Xander and Thea. They seemed to have some weird relationship.

"You've never been to this school right?" Thea asked you. "I'm guessing you knew Avery before she received the inheritance?"

"Wow, that's actually pretty accurate." You meant that to come out less sarcastic than it was.

Since it wasn't a lunch or a snack break, you'd be allowed to leave at any moment. But the school was just amazing. You weren't one for architecture, but that place, knowing it's a school, was just out of the world crazy. It was three times bigger than all of the apartment rooms your parents made you stay in. You'd bet you could get away with staying over night on the campus and nobody would even notice.

"Well, we should get to class, right Xan?" Thea asked, slowly looking up at Xander.

"Yeah." He said. "See you later, Y/n." He patted you on the shoulder like you were younger than him or something.

You simply waved as you saw the both of them went. Even though the school was definitely better than your and Avery's old one, there was no way it was going to be just as fun and entertaining.

For now, to not put a bad name on Avery, you decided to do the impossible, and not cause any scene. You kicked your feet as you sat down on the seat next to the headmaster's office. Unfortunately, Oren had told you, you couldn't bring in your headphones since you had to focused the entire time you were there.

You doubted that there'd be any bullies or mean kids, because how would they even fight? They probably didn't even know a single punch or kick. The only reason why they made it so far was because they had other people do their work for them.

Just then, the door opened and Avery was finally out of there.

She sighed, her eyes looking like they were holding back tears. She rubbed her eyes until she saw you. "Y/n?"

"Are you alright, Ave?" You stood up.

"Yeah, I'm fine, just you know?" As a matter of fact, no, you did not know.

You knew Avery wouldn't budge and tell you what's going on, so you dropped it.

"Anyways, do you want me to stay around until you get to class or?" You trailed on.

"I mean, it's up to you really, but I think I'll be good until lunch." She answered. "And then I'll tell you all the inside information." Avery smiled, trying to lighten the mood a bit. You softly smiled.

"It's your call, Avery." You reminded her, hoping she understood that if she wanted to be alone you'd respect that.

"This school is really something right?" Avery took a few steps forward, spinning around to look at everything with each step.

"Yeah." You said just as in a daze about everything as she was.

"I never would've expected I'd actually WANT to stay in school. If you told me that a week ago, I would've laughed in your face, or call you crazy." She laughed.

"True true." You replied. "Anyways, you should try to get to your first class now."

"Ugh, fine." Her shoulders sunk. "Since when were you wanting me to go to class?"

"Since now. Now go." You put you hand on your hip.

"Alright alright. I'll see you later. At lunch?"

"At lunch." You nodded.

Anyways, HAVE A GOOD NIGHT/GOOD MORNING/ GOOD EVENING/ GOOD AFTERNOON !! ladies [?] And gentlemen <3
