Aki and Norie laid in the hospital bed after Denji and Power had left since they needed to talk to Makima.

They both laid on there sides as he watched her sleeping face, the same small nose twitch and eyelash flutters. Norie was holding his hand to her chest as she had tangled up their legs together.

Aki couldn't look away, he would just scoot closer and hold her hand back. He just felt like he couldn't just leave her or stop looking since he thought about how she would've been gone.

He couldn't get the image of her falling off the building with blood coming out of her neck and mouth. Aki thought about how he wouldn't have made it in time to save her, he would feel more guilty then he did already.

Aki felt a soft hand caress his cheek as the coldness of the rings it carried pressed against his skin, her Amber eyes staring back.

"Take a nap" Norie whispered.

He continued to stare at her as he didn't respond, Aki only moved closer and wrapped an arm around her waist and hid his face in her chest. Norie felt him breathe out as he looks at the wall in front of him

He felt her place a hand behind his head and run her fingers through his hair, she leaned her head on top of his and held him closer.

"Your hearts beating fast" Norie whispered.

"Mhm" Aki only says and gripped her hospital gown.

She then wrapped her arms around his head and pressed their bodies together, he still smelled her signature soft floral perfume on her skin.

"I was scared too" she spoke.

"I thought I lost you"

Aki felt her drape a leg over his as Norie frowned.

"I tried to help, I tried...I didn't know Himeno would-"
