SHAPE SHIFTED

AFTER EXPLAINING everything that had happened in the woods, no matter how confusing, both Stiles and Luke had become even more protective than before. Granted they were at least trying to be more subtle than before, which Cameron appreciated, but they were still hovering. She tried not to let it bother her, but her annoyance continued to flare constantly as it seemed she had no time to herself anymore.

That's why, when Luke burst into her room with Stiles in tow, she couldn't help but roll her eyes.

"Hey, Cammie," Luke said. "We were thinking about going out for dinner. Want to join?"

Cameron looked to her bedroom window, watching as the rain poured. "You want to drive in this weather? And since when do you two make plans together?"

"Well, after everything that's happened Luke and I have actually become friends," Stiles said.

Cameron raised a questioning brow.

"It's true," Luke said.

"Mhm. Well, if you're worried about me getting a fever and running off into the woods again, don't," Cameron said. "I've learned my lesson and I'm honestly feeling a lot better."

"Are you sure?" Stiles asked. "I mean, no werewolf symptoms?"

"Nope." Cameron shrugged. "Maybe what happened after I got bit was just a fluke."

Stiles and Luke shared a look, clearly communicating that they didn't quite believe her but they dropped it for now. It would be something for them to worry about tomorrow during the full moon.

"Alright then," Luke said, flopping down next to Cameron on her bed. "What do you actually want to do for dinner then?"

Cameron thought for a minute before a smile lit up her face. "Ignis sibling spaghetti cook-off? Stiles can be the judge."

Luke matched his sister's excited expression. "You're going down."

The two siblings scrambled to their feet, racing to get to the kitchen first. Stiles sighed as he heard them squabbling all the way down the stairs.

"Let's hope I don't get food poisoning," he said to himself before following after them.

Cameron had just left her last class for the day when she ran into Scott and Stiles as they were on their way to the locker room. She started walking behind them, listening to whatever conversation they had been previously talking about.

"I'm serious," Scott was saying. "It's not like the last full moon. I don't feel the same."

"Oh, does that include the urge to maim and kill people like me?" Stiles asked.

"I swear I don't have the urge to maim and kill you," Scott said.

"You know, you say that now but then the full moon goes up and out come the fangs and the claws and there's a lot of howling and screaming and running everywhere, okay?" Stiles said. "It's very stressful on me so yes, I'm still locking you up."

"Will you be locking me up too?" Cameron asked. Stiles jumped, clearly not expecting her to be there.

"Cam, jeez," he said. "Nearly gave me a heart attack."

"Answer the question, Stiles," Cameron said, her arms now crossed over her chest.

"Well, uh..." He glanced briefly at Scott.

"Don't look at me," Scott said.

"You are no help." Stiles rolled his eyes before turning back to Cameron with a nervous look. "Maybe we should. You know, just in case you do turn tonight."
