Chapter 1: Weekly Movie Night

''Max, when are you going to stop spoiling us throughout the movie?''
Your close friend Laura jabbed from her position on your right. You had your head rested on her shoulder while she leaned against the side of the sofa, a blanket covering the three of you. The credits of the movie you just finished watching were rolling and you couldn't help but laugh in agreement. The movie wasn't anything special, but when you're having fun with your friends, you'd like to experience learning everything on your own, along the way.
''I guess we deserve it, we let someone pick the movie.''
''I apologized already! Also, I'll have you know, I have excellent taste in movies.''
The culprit, Max, babbled. His legs were laid on top of yours and Laura's, effectively heating them up. His arm leaned on the back of the sofa, using his other to convey his words. His head turned back to look at you, pouting due to both your and Laura's mocking.
''Yeah, okay. Whatever you say, Max.''
The three of you have known each other for years; having met near Christmas break during middle school. It had been an instant, weirdly intimate bond that you were always included in. You three had moved into apartments next to each other, Max and Laura choosing to live together instead. You three were always stuck to each other like glue; spending equal time together. Here you are right now, sitting on their couch with your legs tangled together.
Of course, you'd be spending even more time together now that in about two to three days, you'd all be counselors at Hackett's Quarry Summer Camp.
Max was the one who had found out about the camp, begging for you and Laura to agree to sign up. It was no secret that your trio was beginning to get a bit low on money, after having to pay extra rent due to your shared cat, T-Money, which Max clearly named. It was in upstate New York, which would be quite a few hours to drive over, but you three agreed, wanting to have some fun and still be able to get some money before starting college.
