E) Investigate Mr. H's office since he was acting weird earlier (INCREDIBLY LOW STR)

PATH CHOSEN

You sat on the logs, feeling everyone's stare on you. First, you felt as if you were avoiding Abigail, and now after that, you felt as if she'd never forgive you. Abi was a sweet, kind girl. You felt sorta guilty that you haven't spoken to her yet, but you were okay with watching her do her art classes in silence. You felt ashamed that the situation happened, and now she'd like you even less. Hopefully she won't do anything more rash afterwards.

You felt compelled to investigate Mr. H, the summer camp boss. You simply couldn't shake the feeling that something was off about him. Before they started this whole hangout, he was on edge. He snapped, which was something unusual for him to do since he focuses so much on having a 'chill' appearance and being the 'greatest boss ever'. You were also itching for a distraction, and this may be the one you need.

Your curiosity has risen. Now 6 / 10.

As you walked away from the campfire, the awkward moment replayed in your head over and over again. You couldn't believe that Emma, your friend, and theater coach at the summer camp, had questioned your 'friendship' with Nick. The embarrassment was too much to bear, and you needed to get away from the group.

You entered the woods and felt the familiar sense of spookiness and dread whenever you entered. Just as you started to feel uneasy, Emma caught up to you. You were surprised, and slightly disappointed to see her there, but also relieved. She had always seemed confident and put-together, so having her there made you feel safer for a second.

''Hey, I uh.. just wanted to.. apologize. For earlier.. I really didn't mean things to go that way! I just thought- well-.. Sorry.'' She looked ashamed and, for once, her eyes were not set confidently upon yours, but instead on the ground. She swore it wasn't the outcome she was looking for and that she felt terrible about it.

As she spoke, you could sense her sincerity. It was clear that she was genuinely sorry and wanted to make things right. She wasn't the type to be truthful, but it was obvious when she was trying to show it. Emma then took a deep breath and confessed something that surprised you even more: she thought you were a really great friend and was intimidated by you.

You couldn't believe what you were hearing. Emma, the popular girl who had everything going for her, was intimidated by you? You had always admired her confidence and poise, but now it seemed like she had her own insecurities to deal with. You didn't think of yourself as anything special, but hearing her words did give you a slight ego boost. She was just so- Emma. Everything about her screamed perfect, from her wavy and styled hair, perfectly manicured nails to her amazing sense of clothing style and endearing personality. Sure, she might be a bit too rude sometimes and not notice, but she was herself. At least, that's what you thought of her.
