[LAURA, MAX & (Y/N), LAURA AND MAX'S APARTMENT, JUNE 24TH 10:29PM  - (Y/N)]

''Aww..'' Max whined, receiving a harsh flick on the forehead by Laura. ''Hey!''

''Ignore this doofus- we get it. We'll see you there anyways, right?'' Laura reassured, smiling at you. I just noticed she has dimples when she smiles.

''Thanks. Are you both sure about doing this..? Late at night, driving to a place you barely know with spooky werewolves out to hunt you?'' You referenced, Max gulping which got a hearty laugh out of Laura. ''Max has promised he'll be well behaved during the entire drive. Is that right?'' She smiled, eliciting a response from the golden retriever-like boy. ''Yeah! My mom will kill me if I crash her car anyways, I'll be on my 'best behavior'.'' He snickered.

Max was slightly leaned out of the couch, his head down. You looked at what his eyes were inspecting, noticing the bracelet you had found earlier. A shiny silver bracelet with three charms: A sun, a moon and a butterfly. At first, you thought it was fake due to buying it off of your crazy grandmother at her garage sale, but it was actual pure silver. You felt kind of bad, since you payed so little for it. Family discount, right?

It was still gorgeous however, one of your favorite bracelets even if you had lost it. Max seemed to have really taken a liking to it, and you never wore it anymore.

I could give it to him for the time being, I'll be getting it back from him at some point during camp anyways.

''You can have it, you know that right?''

He was your best friend, he liked the bracelet. Of course, it was your grandmother's, but it was just something she had laying around that she wanted to sell, so you were going to give it to him. He could just give it back anytime he wanted, he could keep it or give it to someone else. It was up to him, you already felt guilty by refusing to go with the two one night early.

He turned to you, holding the bracelet with his right hand as if he was guilty.

''Oh, uh, I was just looking at it I-''

''Max, you like it. Take it, I insist.''

''Really?'' He had spluttered, his face slightly reddening and you could suddenly see his freckles clearly. He smiled happily, a grin you got used to and loved seeing on his face.
