Chapter 21 "The R-O-C Pops Back"

"Kelly?, Kelly what's wrong" I asked worriedly.

I heard her sniffle. "I-I did it Bey, it was hard b-but I did it, I j-just c-couldn't h-....h-" she cried not being able to continue.

I got concerned. "Kelly what's wrong?, what did you do?"

"I-I finally w-went to CJ's apartment today" she cried over the phone. "it was so h-hard, I couldn't handle b-being there, b-but I went anyways hoping It would bring me some type of closure"

I immediately felt for my sister, this whole grieving process is hard for her, she's never lost someone so close to her like this, but she's trying to cope with the fact that he's gone.

"well did it bring you some?" I asked.

"kind of, but I still cried, I tried to hold it together but I just couldn't once I got to his bedroom, I just broke down"

"aww, did you go alone?"

"No, I really wouldn't of been able to handle being there by myself, I had Ang and Tia go with me so I can get my things, and we also grabbed a few of his things we wanna keep before his mom let's the rest be sold in auction"

"oh that's good, but why didn't you ask me to go with you too?"

"well because I know you're busy over there helping Jay out with his recovery and stuff, I didn't wanna bother you with my mess"

"Kelly you wouldn't be bothering me, I told you you can call me whenever you need talk, vent, or just cry to someone, I'm here for you Kellz, for whatever, through whatever, your my sister"

I heard her sniffle again. "I know Bey, I'm sorry I didn't call you, I just figured you wanna be with Jay at this time with all he's going through too, I didn't wanna add on to your busy schedule by asking you to come with me"

"Don't worry about my busy schedule Kellz, you can call me anytime for any reason, I'll listen, you know I will"

"yea I know, I'm sorry"

"it's ok, so uh you said Tia went with you?, how's she holding up?"

"she's just taking it one day at a time like me, she's not crying every hour and being sad but you can tell she's missing her big brother"

"yea I know, I been meaning to call her and see how she's doing"

"you should, she'll love to hear from you, she was asking about you today"

"oh yea, well I'll call her tomorrow or something so we can talk"

"sounds good, so how's Jay doing, he still being reckless and lashing out"

"nah not really, when I got here yesterday I walked in on him smoking and he admitted he had a drink, but he also said he's been taking his pills when he's supposed too, and he hasn't snapped on me, but he did apologize for yelling at me the other day"

"yea he better have, but you believe he been taking his pills?"

"yea, because he looks like he's getting better to me, he's walking without his crutches now, and his shoulders healing fast, he can do a lot of stuff he couldn't do a week ago"

"mhmm, is that why you didn't come home last night?"

"what you mean?"

"I mean you was just telling me and Ang how you really needed some D just two days ago, so did you get some today?"

I smiled big. "maybe, why you in my business though?"

She laughed. "because you always in mine, now spill the beans b¡tch, did he lay down some pipe today?"
