JAY'S P.O.V
After being out all day taking care of important business concerning my career and other things, I'm finally getting back home.
I enter my condo carrying two plastic grocery bags in my hand. I closed the door behind me, tossed my keys into the wooden key bowl that sits by my front door on a table, then headed straight to my bedroom.
I can hear my TV playing at a high volume soon as I hit the hallway to my bedroom, I know what's playing on it before even seeing it to be sure.
...'Who are you?'
'No one'
'If a girl says her name, a man will let her sleep under a roof tonight'
'A girl has no name'...
I walk into the room and see the same TV show Bey's been binge watching for the last few days, up on the flatscreen again; Game Of Thrones.
I also notice Bey is wrapped up under the blankets, laying down on her preferred side of my king sized bed with her back facing me. She's in the exact position she was in when I left this morning, and I doubt she's gotten up from that spot all day.
Bey has been laid up at my crib for about a week now, doing nothing but watching TV and closing herself off from the rest of the world.
Last week she talked all her teachers into allowing her to do their classwork from home on her laptop until she's caught up, so she's been attending college online instead of going to her classes like normal.
I let out a low sigh; I hate seeing her so down like this. I think she's on her way to falling into a depression, if she hasn't already.
"Bey, you sleep?" I questioned aloud, while making my way over to the bed.
"No" She replied in a gentle tone.
"Well your man finally home, how bout a greeting?" I said placing the grocery bags in my hand, down on the foot of the bed.
"Hey" She spoke without looking my direction in the slightest.
"Hey?" I turned up my face. "That's all I get, after you been hittin me up constantly all day?" I said walking over to the side of the bed where she's laying.
The TV has her full attention, so I stood directly in front of her, blocking her view of it. She looked up at me as her mouth curved into a small smile, I bent down to her level while smiling also.
"Hello, beautiful" I puckered my lips while leaning towards her for a kiss.
"Hi, babe" She pecked my lips, then pulled away.
Immediately, I notice her rosy red nose and puffy eyes. She's been crying; even her cheeks are light pink, so I know she's cried very recently.
"Yo eyes red" I pointed out. "You was cryin before I walked in here?"
"Yeah, a little" She admitted. "I just got off the phone with my mom like a minute ago"
"Oh, what ya'll talk about?" I kneeled down, staying at her eye level.
"She said she was just callin to check up on me to see how I'm doin today, but we ended up crying most of the conversation and talkin bout my miscarriage again. I swear I'm tired of talking about it though, I might go off on the next person who asks me about it"
