¤Two Days Later
Bey's P.O.V
"Come on, come on, come onnn!" I frustratedly hit my car horn, honking at the car in front of me. "The light green now, go!"
I'm currently caught up in light traffic, trying to make my way to the courthouse for Jay's arraignment. I have exactly fifteen minutes to get my ass there, cause I won't be let in once it starts, so I cannot be late.
People can't fucking drive though, so I'm irritated as hell while trying to maneuver my way through this traffic. I should've just skipped going to the class I'm rushing from, but Jay made me promise him I wouldn't when we talked yesterday.
He cares about me doing well in school because he knows how important my education is to me. He's more important to me than school though; I can make work up, I can't rewind time and be there for him through tough times like now.
"Fuckin driivve!" I shouted, blowing my horn at the car I'm behind.
The bitch driving slow as fuck, and don't have no car in front of her at the moment. I'm two seconds from getting out my car and pulling her out her's, she lucky I don't have the time to.
I flicked my blinker on and jumped into the next lane, cutting someone off. I hate to be that annoying driver, but I can't miss Jay's arraignment. If it goes well, he'll be released today.
These two days without him went by sort of fast, but I still hated every second of being away from my man. He's called me everyday of these two days, so we've talked a few times over the weekend, but I miss physically being around him.
I don't wanna spend anymore days away from my bestfriend, two days were hard enough, I need him free ASAP.
By speeding, dipping through traffic, and cutting hella people off, I made it to the courthouse within a few minutes. I parked my car, then hopped out and ran into the building.
I made it to the doors of the courtroom where Jay's arraignment is being held, with just one minute to spare. I can't believe I made it.
When I walked into the room, I spotted Angie, Mama Gloria, TyTy, Von, Memphis, Jay's aunt, cousin, and uncle sitting near eachother on one side of the room. I made my way over to them, and sat on the bench between Mama G & Angie.
"Bout time you made it" Angie said. "I thought you was gon be too late"
"Me too, but I'm here, thank God" I said silencing my phone real quick. "Hi momma" I hugged MG afterwards.
"Hey sweetie" She squeezed me. "How are you?"
"Fine. You?"
"I'm alright"
"Wassup, sis" TyTy nudged my shoulder.
"Wassup" I looked over my shoulder at him. "Hi" I waved to Jay's uncle, aunt, cousin, and Von & Memphis.
When I turned back around, the courtroom Clerk began speaking outloud. He let everyone in the room know the Courtroom rules; like no loud talking once it begins, absolutely NO talking to the inmates, no cellphone usage, no eating food or drinking any beverages, and all that stuff.
After he was done informing us of all the rules and a few other things, he told a security guard to bring the defendant in, and a little excitement ran through my body. I'm about to see my man, which has me happy and smiling a bit.
The guard went out a side door for a moment, then walked back through with Jay. The small smile on my face immediately dropped when I noticed a fresh looking bruise under his eye, and a cut on his lip.
