A loud clatter from the kitchen seemed to wake Michael in a groggy stupor. Blinking awake, he took notice of the makeshift cuddle pile he and his siblings were in, he'd be lying if it slightly made his heart melt, another thing he would never admit out loud. The clattering sound from the kitchen made itself known again, breaking him from his thoughts, he gently moved the twins off him before heading to the strange sound. It couldn't be their father, as he practically lived in the basement ever since his and mom's divorce.

'It could be a thief', a wispy small voice whispered in his head, looking back at his sleeping siblings, he couldn't let anything happen to them. Scanning the living room for potential weapons, the only thing he used was either the remote or use a stray tool that his father would occasionally leave lying around the house. Checking under the couch, he managed to find a mallet, why his father would put it there he would never know.

Perhaps in some other life, his father was a squirrel which would explain why he stored things in the most random places, he still remembered the time his dad put his left shoe in jello. How he did that was still a mystery.

With a weapon in hand, he slowly made his way to the kitchen and made sure to bypass any squeaky spots on the ground. The closer he got to the kitchen, the more odd yet familiar noises he could hear. And, to his horror, whispering voices, 'of hell no, we're being robbed!' As much as he was afraid that people were robbing his house, he was more scared of his father finding out that they were robbed, and he didn't do anything to stop it. Perhaps it would've been better to call the police, but the home phone was in the kitchen.

'Be brave dammit, stop acting like a little bitch' Michael reprimanded himself, taking in a deep breath before quickly turning on the lights.

His eyes constricted thanks to it not being adjusted to the bright kitchen light, blinking a couple of times only to be frozen in place by what he was seeing.

In front of him stood three big animatronics, each one being all too familiar and should be in their respective diner/pizzeria. The most distant of the bunch was Security Puppet who looked like was putting away dishes, the second-closest being SpringBonnie who seemed to be examining the pot he used to make the pasta sauce. Leaving Fredbear to be the one he saw right in front of him in all his glory wielding a frying pan.

Like any rational human being would do, he began screaming bloody murder at the top of his lungs. Causing the three animatronics in the kitchen to snap out of their shocked states.

"H-Heya kid, there's no need for screaming," Fredbear spoke up, placing the frying pan down as they leveled with Michael. Which did nothing to stop him from screaming.

"Jeez, this kid's got a pair of lungs, I thought teenagers didn't scream this much before." SpringBonnie came over to Fredbear's side, gazing down at the still-screaming Michael.

"It is a natural response for humans to react this way when seeing something frightening. Or he's an overgrown toddler." Security Puppet piped up, still trying to put away plates that Michael had to wash after dinner.

"I-I'm not a toddler!" Michael finally stopped screaming, yet his tone was at a shouting level.

"Good work Security Puppet he stopped screaming, for a second there I was afraid he was going to explode." Fredbear let out a non-existent breath of air it was holding.

"I'm sure that's not how humans word Fred." SpringBonnie shook his head at that.

"H-How are all of you in my house? Did father bring you?" Michael did his best to wrap his around his father, bringing heavy animatronics in a small car that could possibly crush under the weight. Well maybe crush was an exaggeration as Fredbear and SpringBonnie were half suits, Security Puppet on the other hand was not.

"Nope. . .actually now that I think about it, how did we get here?" SpringBonnie explained before it became confused.

"By all means, it doesn't make any sense to me." Security Puppet pulled out a map of Utah from nowhere to emphasize their point.

"To tell you the truth little one we're not sure how we ended up here, one minute we're in the diner, the next we ended up here." Fredbear got up from kneeling down to Michael, scratching its head.

Just as Michael opened his mouth, he was interrupted by a younger voice.

"Mikey, is everything okay? We heard you screaming" C.C shuffled over to Michael's while Elizabeth yawned and went to his other side.

"Looks like there are more little ones here." Fredbear smiled happily to see more children in the strange house they ended up in.

C.C looked up to see who was talking, immediately freezing in place at the realization of the animatronic before him. Just as Michael did, C.C too began screaming bloody murder.

"K-Kid, please don't cry, I'm not gonna hurt you." A distressed Fredbear tried calming C.C down, which only seemed for the younger boy to hide behind his older brother.

"And I thought the older one's scream was bad enough." Muttered SpringBonnie as it attempted to cover its ears.

"Both of you two out of my way." Security Puppet swatted the humanoid animal animatronics, taking their place in front of the kids.

"Mikey, why are daddy's creations here?" Elizabeth was now more alert thanks to C.C's screaming, looking puzzled rather than screaming in fright like her twin.

"I don't know Liz... I don't know." Michael thankfully was calming down yet his heart remained racing.

"It's alright little ones everything is safe, I wouldn't let harm come to you. Especially from these two wanna-be animals." Security Puppet cooed, said wanna-be animals looked offended by the other's reassurance.

Seeing that Fredbear was no longer in front of C.C he stopped his screaming, yet not calming down as the yellow bear remained in the kitchen.

"Look, kid, we're not sure how we ended up here or how we're able to speak freely without our pre-recorded dialogue or even move on our own. Maybe that father of yours could give us some answers about how we ended up here." SpringBonnie pointed out, deciding it didn't want to be here any longer than it should be.

All kids noticed thanks to SpringBonnie how the animatronics weren't behaving as they were supposed to be, as well as saying things that definitely were not part of their prerecorded dialogue. Behaving as if they were their own person instead of a machine built to entertain kids and solely to entertain.

"I don't know if waking up daddy is a good idea, but I'm sure he'll understand." Elizabeth slightly smiled, her smile wavered at the prospect of waking up their dad.

"Well, it's settled, let's get your dad here." Fredbear cheerfully said.

Both boys grimaced at the cheerful tone, for C.C it was half that their father would be up and the fact that Fredbear scared him a lot. Michael inwardly sighed, 'great, not only do I have to deal with whatever this is but now waking up father who will yell at me, no doubt for being stupid.'

Leading the group out, C.C took the initiative by turning on the living room lights, as the animatronics were unaccustomed to being in their house. Elizabeth turned off the t.v, a different channel was on as it was too early in the morning for The Immortal and The Restless to be on, and pushed the small table to make way for others.

Michael took in a deep breath as he walked toward the stairs that led down to the basement, in a way it helped that his dad usually spent his time home down in the basement. If he were upstairs, then he would hate for the animatronics to put their weight on the wooden boards for it to break. Giving the others a once over, he stared into the darkness, his hand searching on the side of the wall until it found the light switch.

Throwing it on, his eyes widened in confusion at what was shown before him, his siblings made their way over to him to check what was the hold-up. Slightly gasping at what lay down the stairs. Not the way to where their father was, but a door that looked as if it belonged to that one show their parents used to show them, The Twilight Zone.
