"Get in losers. We're heading to the diner." Bill called, lowering some shades, he had a mischievous look in his eyes.

At that moment Michael didn't know if he should laugh or panic seeing his father's stand-in do something way out of the ordinary. One thing for sure his father wouldn't be caught dead driving a van no less even if it was purple, two he wouldn't make such an outlandish remark. On the other hand, if given the opportunity, he would have worn the shades. Michael realized that he wasn't saying or doing anything, quickly acting he grabbed Elizabeth and C.C's hands and made their way over to the van.

"That also goes for you five, are you all just going to stand there, or do you plan on walking all the way to the diner?" Bill pushed his shades back up, turning his head back to watch Michael about to sit in the back. "Michael, my boy, sit in the front with me."

"Yes, father..." Michael slowly said, having mixed feelings about the situation, all the while having to keep up with the lie.

The rest of the group shuffled toward the van, surprised that Mr.

'Afton' was offering them a ride willingly instead of an obligation that he would rarely do. As for Jeremy and Gabriel, they were excited that they were going to hang out with C.C at the diner, which was like winning the kid lottery to them.

Loading into the van was a bit difficult, not because of the lack of seats as there were surprisingly enough to accommodate them all, but who would sit by whom. In the end, Elizabeth, C.C, and Gabriel sat on the way back with the two seats in front of them Joshua and Jeremy would sit, and lastly for the second front seats Marco and Elliot would take.

"About time you finally buckled up. Now..." Bill adjusted the gear stick, growing a wide smile on his face. "Let's put this pedal to the metal."

Was all the warning the group in the van had before hearing the sound of the tires screeching, and everything began to feel light. The van zoomed down streets almost in a blur like a fashion, if it were in a cartoon trees would be bending from the sheer force of how fast the van was going. Inside the vehicle, Bill grinned like a madman, as if he were auditioning for the Mad Max movies. Michael was gripping the armrest tightly as if his life depended on it, Marco and Elliot were not so subtly cursing from how fast they were going. Joshua was silently cursing while being in silent terror, while Jeremy was amazed looking at the window to see everything out the window were meshing together. Elizabeth was having the time of her life and wanted to go faster, C.C and Gabriel were hanging on to each other for dear life, shouting in terror.

In no time at all they made it to the diner, well skillfully drifting into the diner's lot thanks to Bill. When shutting off the van's engine, the group's collective screams died down, each in their own state of terror, except for Elizabeth.

"Again!" Elizabeth cheered, still feeling that adrenaline rush.

"NO!" All the guys yelled in almost unison, immediately buckling out of their seats and scampering out of the van.

"And that children is how you beat the traffic with at least ten minutes to spare." Bill proclaimed as he calmly exited the vehicle while some boys were dramatically kissing the ground.

"B- I mean Will! Where the heck did you go?!" Henry rushed out of his car nearby, holding onto Charlie's hand, who had to run to keep up with her dad.

"I told you, Hen, I was picking up the kids and I suppose some of their friends in the process." Bill waved him off as he helped Michael off the ground where he was groveling.

"Then why do they look like they were spared from certain doom?" Henry raised a brow, seeing the teens and children looking grateful for the ground they were standing on.
