As Michael predicted, his mum was the storm that he didn't want to deal with. But here he was having a long headache of explaining to his mum what he told their uncle about everything up to the suggestion of a stand-in-William. All the while Henry did his best in helping Michael explain to his mum about the situation with the kids watching in a mixture of amusement or pity.
"Michael...my dearest oldest child, you're telling me that these machines appeared out of nowhere like that white door with a note from lord-knows-who. And, not only is that piece of sh-I mean, William is gone. But, since he's gone and there's no one here to help pay bills or explain William's absence, you're going to somehow ask for a stand-in for the time being. Did I leave anything out?" Ms Schmidt hesitantly asked, though it was evident she was on the verge of raising hell.
"No, mum, that's everything." Michael nodded in confirmation as his fingers fidgeted in anticipation.
Silence fell over the room as everyone else waited for Ms Schmidt to make a move or say something from all the information that had been given to her. Exhaling a soft sigh, Henry looked toward his friend's ex-wife, knowing that she needed some support from the weird shit that was happening.
"If it's any consolation to you... I also was just informed today of the same thing you were just told." Henry sympathized with the woman, as he still couldn't believe the events that were taking place.
Ms Schmidt warily turned to Henry as he gave the poor mother a comforting smile, slowly looking at the children who were getting antsy.
"Okay...okay...okay... I'm glad you called Henry and me, Michael, now that I know that your father isn't here to look after you-"
The siblings inwardly winced at that, their father did not look after them of any sort unless it was at the diner, and most of the time not even then.
"I'll be staying with you kids until...until this goes away. No offense to you machines." Ms Schmidt turned to the three animatronics that were standing off to the side, listening to the whole spiel.
"None taken ma'am." Fredbear smiled pleasantly.
"Can we get on with it already, I'm dying of sitting here for so long." Elizabeth exasperated melodramatically, her back falling softly to the couch she, C.C, and Charlie, were occupying.
"In a minute, Liz, let mum have time to process all this." Michael scolded, his brows furrowed at his younger sister, who stuck her tongue at him.
"Elizabeth, mind your manners." Ms Schmidt scolded her daughter.
"Yes, mummy, can see this stand-in thingy now. C.C and Charlie also want to see it too, pleeease." Elizabeth drew out as she gave her best puppy dog eyes, grabbing the other two kids closer to her for emphasis.
"I wanna see another version of Mr. Willy!" Charlie excitedly agreed, going along with Elizabeth's schemes.
"I kinda want to as well..." C.C joined in, although not matching his sister and friend's enthusiasm.
"Calm down kiddos, give your older folks some time before jumping into it," SpringBonnie interjected on behalf of the frazzled adults and teen.
Elizabeth shot the yellow bunny a dirty look, while Charlie gave a pout. Michael and Henry gave thankful nods to the animatronic as they have mixed feelings about having a stand-in for William or what would that look like.
"Thank you... I'm sorry, but what's your name?" Ms Schmidt looked toward where the animatronics were standing.
"SpringBonnie ms," SpringBonnie replied with a polite smile.
