If you asked Michael before what he thought of his life, he would tell you that it was a series of train wrecks and walking on eggshells. Mostly tiring as the responsibilities of co-parenting fell onto his shoulders as his father wasn't stepping up since the divorce a few years ago. Not to mention dealing with his friends that were worse than taking care of his own siblings, which were saying something.
Yet, they were a source of entertainment, and they did help him out from time to time when he needed stuff for his siblings. There was only so much their mum could do to help him, he doesn't blame her for leaving, though he wishes she would've won custody over them instead of only seeing her for a few days at a time. He reckons that the only reason they still live with their father was just to spite their mum.
But now, if you asked him what he thought of his life, he'd say that everything he thought he once knew about life has completely been thrown out the window.
They decided to call in sick for the next day, taking the time (mostly Michael and the animatronics) to think of a plan. There was the matter of explaining his father's absence, hopefully, their uncle Henry would be able to cover their father's responsibility. Everything else would be the same, even if the animatronics want to help around the house.
C.C and Elizabeth were watching the TV under the supervision of Security Puppet, well more of Security Puppet watching from afar as the three animatronics with Michael were all seated in the kitchen to discuss what their plan would look like for the time being as well as in the future.
"Look, all I'm saying is that since we're technically all going to be living together that you should respect our boundaries and don't leave the house cause in case you hadn't noticed you'll freak out a lot of people," Michael explained, remembering his reaction to the three animatronics vividly.
"That's fair, I mean, you were screaming like a little kid with a fear of killer clowns." SpringBonnie nodded in acknowledgment whilst Michael spluttered at his analogy.
"Do we have to, I was hoping to explore and greet the children." Fredbear's ears drooped in mild disappointment that they wouldn't be able to leave.
"It's for the best Fredbear, besides we have these children to look after." Security Puppet pointed out to C.C and Elizabeth, who were giggling at the show they were watching. "Michael, what is it that they're watching?"
"Oh, it's a new show that came out a few weeks ago, it's called Claymore, there's like three puppet main characters, I don't know their names cause I don't watch it, so I just call them red guy, duck guy, and yellow dude." Michael veered off-topic before he looked over to the red phone right next to him, sighing as he would have to eventually call their uncle.
"Besides, Fred, do you really want more people to be screaming in fear at the sight of us?" SpringBonnie patted his friend's shoulder, to which Fredbear shook his head dejectedly. "Also, we won't be alone for that long since there's going to be others like us coming later, which we need to prepare for in case they appear here. They're going to need some friendly faces to explain what's going on."
"That's right, we need to do our part to explain to the newcomers the rules here and to set examples." Security Puppet went along with SpringBonnie's words, also patting Fredbear's shoulder.
"Well, alright..." Fredbear felt slightly disappointed that it couldn't meet other humans outside the house, though feeling kind of better that they would soon have other animatronics coming.
"Now, all of you need to respect our boundaries, no going upstairs without any of us saying so, and do not answer the door unless it's me or my sibs, Fredbear do not engage with my younger brother C.C unless for some reason he engages with you first, don't break anything, and last rule does not breach our privacy. Got it?" Michael felt as if he got the basics of the ground rules, as the man of the house he had a duty to fulfill and annoying siblings to protect.
"Seems good kid." SpringBonnie gave a friendly grin.
"Well, if you say so." Fredbear smiled softly, not wanting to get on his bad side.
"Crystal clear." Security Puppet gave a firm nod, locking down the ground rules in their mind, as it was their duty to keep young children safe.
"Good...now I have to call my uncle over since this is going to be a headache to explain over the phone." Michael rubbed his temple as he could already feel the incoming headache that would later happen.
"Is he someone we will be able to communicate with?" Fredbear couldn't help but ask, excited already about meeting a new person.
"Er, yeah, I guess so, but it's up to him." Michael wasn't sure how his uncle was going to react to the living animatronics in their house, or the part of how more will show up, not to mention how their father just vanished including the basement as well.
Not that anyone is going to miss the basement, thanks to their father practically living there and making it all creepy with his creepiness.
Michael reached for the phone, his hand hesitating to dial the number, before his father vanished he had strict rules about who and when they could call their mum, friends, and of course uncle Henry. Shaking his head, he put in the number, hearing the phone ring for a bit until a familiar, warm older man's name answered.
"Hello, Emily's residence?" Henry's voice always sounded like warm honey in milk, always managing to soothe him.
"Hey Uncle Henry, it's me, Michael, listen can you come over today it's kinda an emergency." Michael could feel his stomach forming into knots.
"Mike?! Is everything alright over there? Are C.C and Elizabeth okay, are you okay? Does your father need me for anything? Is anyone hurt?" Henry for some reason that Michael could not comprehend would always ask if they were okay first instead of asking about their father's needs.
Their father would always remind them that even though they were allowed to call Henry their uncle, he wasn't their actual uncle and didn't have time to be looking out for them constantly. Then, making sure whenever Henry was around, they would spend as little time with the man.
"We're fine Uncle Henry, everything is...fine, no one is hurt or anything, it'll be better if you come over to explain." Michael would be lying if he wasn't a little anxious about the chaos that would soon happen.
"Alright Mike, I'll bring Charlie too, since it's been a while since we were at your place, I'm sure your father won't mind too much." Henry eased over the phone, though still sounded concerned.
"He won't mind at all...cya soon, uncle Henry." Michael did his best to not hang up right then.
"See you soon, Mike." Henry said goodbye before there was a faint sound of him passing the phone.
"Bye-bye Mikey!" Charlie's squeaky voice chirped over the line.
An unknown feeling swept over him, his mum liked to tease him when she told him that it was his budding fatherly instincts. All Michael knew was that if anything were to happen to Charlie or his sibs he would kill everyone and then himself.
The line ended with Uncle Henry hanging up, with Michael letting out a breath he didn't know was holding. The animatronics watching him gave him a mixture of concerned and worried looks.
"You know, for a simple phone conversation you seem, tense kid," SpringBonnie spoke up first out of the three.
"Do you want anything to ease your nerves?" Security Puppet asked worriedly.
"M'fine, just need to get started on..." Michael got up from his seat, quickly glancing to the living room where C.C and Elizabeth were no longer watching the TV, but instead were having a heavy debate as a commercial was on. "I'll be right back."
Making his way over to them, C.C and Elizabeth seemed to be squabbling about the red guy and duck guy for some reason.
"Alright you two, knock it off, Uncle Henry and Charlie are going to be-" Right as Michael was in the middle of explaining there was a knock on the door.
"Oh Mike, I'm respecting your privacy by knocking, but I'm asserting my authority as your uncle by coming in any way." It was all Henry had to say over the door before busting down the door with an actual battering ram. Michael sadly didn't have a lot of time to react before chaos ensued.
