It was like watching two little monsters devouring the sundae as if they never had a sundae before in their life. Leaving stray sprinkles and melted ice cream puddles in their wake, not to mention the frozen treat and chocolate fudge staining their faces as they ate. Michael supposes that was siblings for you, in his hand he just had a plain old waffle cone, two scoops of chocolate ice cream sprinkled with nuts. He figured he might as well put Bill's money to good use. Which he did buy the Volcano Sundae for his siblings, and seeing that there was still some money left over, he figured he might as well have himself something too.
"Now remember what I told you about this, alright." Michael turned to his siblings, his brows furrowed a little, mainly toward C.C who was licking off the vanilla cream from his spoon.
"Yeah, yeah, we know Mikey. Don't tell mummy or else no more ice cream." Elizabeth huffed with an indigent frown before resuming the half-eaten sundae.
"Good, you too, C.C, you better remember not to tell her." Michael motioned two of his fingers from his eyes to C.C who stuck out his tongue at him.
With the reminder on their minds, Michael went back to enjoying his treat while C.C and Elizabeth were now trying to stare the other down as they picked off the cherries that slid off to the side as the sundae little by little melted. Michael hid a small smile growing on his face as he watched the twins bickering about who deserved to eat the cherries more, he wouldn't admit out loud how their rare outings tugged at his heartstrings; he would rather confess to his crush than admit it.
Hearing the knock of glass shook Michael from his thoughts, glancing to his left he saw his friends waving at him while Gabriel and Jeremy were peering in with their hands shielding the sun from their eyes. Without a second thought, the group of boys headed into the parlor.
"Ayo Mike, why'd you leave us hanging?" Joshua took a seat next to him as the other two grabbed nearby seats to join the siblings.
The younger two easily all fit together, which brought a new dilemma for the twins, as Jeremy and Gabriel were now eyeing the plump red cherries.
"Father gave me some money to treat these two out, so I did." Michael was glad at the easy question to answer, technically telling the truth, as his father would tell him to take his siblings somewhere to make them stop pestering him when he did his work. As William couldn't be bothered to perform his fatherly duties by doing it himself.
"Ah, so it's one of those days." Elliot shook his head, understanding the feeling of when parents practically give their oldest the role of the responsible adult to parent their younger siblings.
"Yeah... it's not so bad, the brats have their ice cream and I got mine." Michael raised his treat for them to see, handing it to Joshua, who took a smile bite.
"Why should I give it to you?" Elizabeth stared down poor Jeremy after asking if he could have the small red candied fruit.
"I'll give you ice cream the next time I have some?" Jeremy carefully thought, as he didn't have much to offer.
"Nuh-uh, this is a special ice cream that Mikey bought me, you're gonna have to beg a little harder than that." Elizabeth nearly smirked, seeing Jeremy struggle to think of something to offer her.
"Damn, she's cold." Marco chuckled at Elizabeth's antics.
Joshua shook his head, pitying his little brother as he was at the mercy of Elizabeth, that little girl could be ruthless when she wanted to be. C.C on the other hand begrudgingly gave a cherry to Gabriel, who beamed at the other boy.
"I'll... Do whatever you say for a whole day?" Jeremy wasn't sure if that was going to be enough, and he didn't really want to be ordered around by her.
