I looked in the mirror at myself. I ended up choosing a cute pair of overalls and a t-shirt underneath. I also decided on wearing my green converse, to jazz it up a little.I brushed through my hair again, hoping my bangs would work with me. I didn't do makeup, I was a horrid at it. I occasionally did mascara, but I also had sensitive eyes, so mascara irritated my eyes. Most of the time I just curled my eyelashes and went with some lip gloss.
I sat in my room overthinking every possible scenario, even things I wouldn't believe are possible.
I looked at the time on my phone, I should still have a few minutes. I got dressed really quick, mostly because I was panicked.
I jogged over to the bathroom, trying to move as quickly as possible. As I was about to get up, the doorbell rang.
"Oh no." I said out loud.
"I'll get it!" Jay yelled. I cursed myself and hurried to wash my hands and get out. I opened the door to hear jays confused voice.
I grabbed my tote bag, having already prepared it, and ran to my moms room.
"Bye, I love you!" I hurried out my moms room towards the front door. I turned the corner, and Josh instantly looked up at me. We locked eyes and a smile grew on his face. I could feel my cheeks going red.
"Where are you guys going?" Jaylen asked trying to catch up on the situation.
"Where are we going?" I asked tilting my head towards Josh. I smiled waiting for his answer, and to ease Jaylens anxiety. That's one thing I hope Jay can get out of smoking weed, is loosing some of his anxiety.
"I have a few places in mind." He said. "So, I think we should get going before it's too dark?"
Jaylen looked at me like a lost puppy still very confused on what was happening. I walked towards the door as Josh waved bye to Jaylen.
I stuck my tongue out at Jay and closed the door behind me. It was actually a bit chilly outside.
I walked towards Josh's car. It was cute. Simple, but cute. He went to driver side and I got in the passenger side. I was immediately hit by the smell of incense, cologne, and a touch of weed. I can't say I hated it.
He turned on the radio and pulled out of our driveway. I was feeling slightly awkward considering I didn't know what to say.
"I like your earrings." Josh said.
"Oh, thank you." I said reaching for them. "Maya got them for me."
He smiled at me and looked back at the road.
"I know I just asked this, but where are we going?" I asked.
"I don't know." He said. "What do you wanna do?"
"Nothing in particular." I said.
"Have you ate?" He asked.
"No." I said.
"Okay, looks like that's our first stop." He said. He drove for a bit and we pulled into Zehnders parking lot.
We got a table for two and he sat down beside me. I was expecting him to sit across from me, but I also kinda like the idea of him sitting next to me.
We ordered the same thing, cause I didn't eat here often, and whatever he said sounded good.
We talked about lots of different things, I don't even know how we breached certain topics.
We were both eating and enjoying ourselves, when I got a chill nearly making me jump. I rubbed my arms as a pathetic hope of warming myself up.
"Are you cold?" He asked.
