Juliette's POV

I woke up and immediately felt the pit in my stomach. Today I learned if I got the role of Hermia or not.

I got ready for the day, trying to not think about it. I really hoped Josh got puck, it would be amazing if we both got roles.

I arrived at school and kicked Jay out of the car. I waited in the parking lot with my music playing in the background. Specifically the John Denver cd Josh gave me. I wanted it to be a good day.

My door opened, causing me to whip my head to see who it was. And surprise, it was Josh.

"Hello, Juliette." He said shutting the door.

"Hello, Joshua." I said.

"How is your lovely morning going?" He asked.

"Hectic." I responded.

"Why's that?" He asked intrigued.

"We see who got the parts today." I said.

"Oh, I forgot about that." He said. "I'm sure you got it."

"I don't know, I'm just so worried about it." I said.

"Don't be, I know you got it." He said.

"You do?" I asked.

"Well, not like 100%, but like, I'm very confident you get the part." He said.

"I hope." I said. We sat in silence for a moment, I think it was comfortable.

"So, uh." Josh said. "We're having a little get together tomorrow night."

I looked at him waiting for him to explain further.

"Like we're gonna invite some of our friends over, because our parents are gonna go to our grandparents, they know we're having people over." He said. "And I was thinking that you should come over, even if it's only for a little bit."

"I would love to...but I don't know if my mom will let me." I said.

"I can talk to her." Josh said. "My parents do know, truly, they said as long as no one gets hurt, and no cops, that people could come over."

"I know, but I've never been to a 'party' before, how would I even ask her?" I asked.

"Well, if it helps Maya is invited too." Josh said. "And you could say Maya is going."

"Maybe I could stay at Maya's house, but tell her about the party, maybe not party. Just that I'm going to your house." I said thinking about the scenarios.

"That sounds good. Whatever gets you to my house." He said. "Of course it's okay if you can't, I'll understand."

"I'll try." I said. The bell rang shortly after I said that. We got out and walked towards the school together.

I loved walking to the highschool with Josh. It was nice. I felt like I was important, I know it sounded weird. Talking with him made me feel like today would be alright. Laughing with him just felt so good.

I waited outside of my classroom for Josh. He was taking too long. They put up who got what, but I was waiting on Josh.

I tapped my foot looking out the window. I was about to leave without him, (no i wasn't.)

I stood there quietly when someone grabbed me by my sides making me scream a little. Not loud, but definitely audible.

"Jesus, Josh, you got to stop doing that." I said laughing. I actually loved being scared, but no one ever scared me. That is until Josh came into the picture. Now we were constantly trying to scare the other.
