Juliette's POV

I felt my heart beating in my chest as we bowed to the crowd.

The crowd applauded happily as we stood infront of them. It was just families and friends, but it still felt magical.

I looked at Josh beside me, smiling as he looked at the crowd. The curtain closed infront of us letting us fall out of character.

I hugged Josh first, before I said anything. I felt so happy. I wouldn't have been in this moment if not for Josh.

After everyone had settled down and began to leave me and josh changed out of parts of our wardrobe.

"You did amazing." Josh said looking over to me.

"You did too." I smiled at him.

"No, truly, you were amazing. I've never saw you look so at home." He said. I grinned to myself reminiscing.

"Do you want to go out to eat?" He asked.

"Like go with the others to eat?" I asked.

"No." He said shaking his head. "Me and you."

"Well, of course." I said. He smiled to himself and continued with what he was doing.

I sat across from Josh at the booth. We chose kings, it was always a solid choice.

He talked on, whatever he said I listened. I loved how he would just talk, and not in an annoying way. I added in my bits, but I usually nodded or laughed, whatever was appropriate.

"I've never had that much fun during a play before." Josh said looking at me.

"Why was it so fun this year?" I asked confused.

"Because of you." He said. I felt my cheeks flush red. No matter how long we had dated, he still made me blush.

"Well I had more fun than I think I will next year." I said. His face dropped a bit as I assumed he remembered he was graduating.

"I wish we were in the same grade." He said. "It would be so much better if we could hang out together, all day. Not just on the weekends."

"I know, but I think it'll be alright." I said. "We could still eat lunch together, hangout after school. And plus, I won't have to go except for 4 periods."

"It still sucks." He said.

"You'll be fine, Joshua." I said. He rolled his eyes with a slight smile on his lips. "You're not the one that has to still go to school 5 days a week. You get to be a lazy bum."

"Dropout and we'll be lazy bums together." He said. I looked at him wordless, not even attempting to respond to that.

"Alright, alright, I'll stop complaining." He said waving his hands. I giggled and continued to finish my food.

We drove through the neighborhoods deciding what to do. Neither of really wanted to go where people were, but we needed to do something. It was Friday night.

"I have an idea." I said. "We should go to the lake. You know like we did on my birthday?"

"Not a bad idea." He smiled and drove towards our local lake.

We walked down towards the water. It was peaceful until he bumped into me so hard I fell onto the ground.

He burst out into laughter before even trying to help me up.

"I'm sorry, I'm sorry." He said struggling to breathe. He began to stick his hands out when I started to slap his arms.

"Shit!" He yelled when he realized I was fighting back. I tried to jump up as he ran farther away from me.
