Chapter 7 - Learning about the Chamber of Secrets

I was sighed but then while we were in there Peeves made a loud bang somewhere making us laugh as Filch ran from the room with his cat Mrs. Norris with him thinking we needed to stay we looked around the room seeing much of things taken and Harry found a Kwikspell on the desk but when Filch came back he was happy since Peeves had dropped something called a Vanishing Cabinet while trying to get him out of the school. Then Filch thought we were snooping through his stuff but he let us off as we ran from the room only to run up the corridor and back up the stairs but then Nearly Headless Nick showed up, "Harry, Kaito! Did it work?" I looked at him confused before seeing the wreckage of a large black-and-gold cabinet that appeared to have been dropped from a great height before telling us about how Nick had gotten Peeves to drop it before Harry told him that yea it had worked before he invited us to his Death Day party which we agreed to attend along with Hermione and Ron before we left. We told Hermione and Ron later on about it which they were excited for but I just looked outside at the I had to shack my head at the twins as they played with a salamander from class while I sat down with a book to read sighing but I did have to laugh at them when Percy started scolding them for it because they had given the salamander a Filibuster Firework which had it shooting out stars from its mouth. When Halloween arrived we were regretting our rash promise to go to the Death Day Party but while the other's headed down to the party I told them that I would see them later as I headed to the kitchen before asking the house-elves if it was ok to have a plate of sandwiches and four cups of pumpkin juice before I headed down to the party room. When I got there I sighed seeing the other eyeing the food table so I walked over to them handing each a glass before holding out the plate that know had a bunch of sandwiches which had them smiling at me, "Idiots it's a Death Day Party aka everything's dead." they smiled sheepishly looking at me then after a little while Nick came over and talked to us just after Peeves had upset Moaning Myrtle. Then the people who had refused Nick's request for the Headless Hunt showed up just before he did his speech while practically insulting Nick but Nick couldn't keep the crowd while the leader of the Headless Hunt Sir Patrick played games using there heads. So we decided it was time to leave since we were all starting to freeze so we left only to hear a soft voice saying, "...rip...tear...kill..." I froze looking at Harry who seemed to hear the same thing I had only it continued to hear it saying that it was hungry for a long time which then had us hearing that it wanted to kill but then the voice started getting fainter before Harry took off making me go after him and he lead us away. All the color drained from my face when I heard it say "...I smell blood... I SMELL BLOOD!" when Harry finally stopped just around a corner on the second floor which had me worried since I had no idea what the voice was but I completely froze when we saw something shiny on the wall, foot-high words had been painted on the wall between two windows. "The Chamber of Secrets has been opened. Enemy of the Heir's Beware." I gulped wondering what it meant but then we all saw something else which had us getting closer seeing that it was Mrs. Norris hanging by her tail but as we were trying to figure out what to do only for everyone in the Great Hall to come out and see everything which had everyone wondering what was going on but then Argus Filch showed up. When he saw Mrs. Norris he fell back going into panic mode, "My cat! My cat! What's happened to Mrs. Norris? You! You! You've murdered my cat! You've killed her! I'll kill you! I'll-." he was cut off by someone else who entered into the hallway who just happened to be Dumbles who then swept passed all of us before grabbing Mrs. Norris and making us all follow him, he lead us to Lockhart's office who offered it moments after Dumbles told us to follow him. I sighed knowing this loon was trying to win brownie points with Dumbles for this, so we stood around while the teacher's looked over Mrs. Norris, it was during this time that I started to feel dizzy so I started backing up as the room began to spin only to hit something before blacking out. When I woke up I was in the infirmary with Madam Pomfrey near me, which had me looking at her confused, "You passed out last night while talking with the Headmaster and the other Professors Mr. Potter, Professor Snape was watching you the whole time, he told me that because you looked really ill he didn't want to take his eyes off you but then you collapsed with him being barely able to catch you. Your in good health now so I suggest you go and take it easy for a bit alright and don't forget to thank Professor Snape." I nodded before leaving the room stunned that he would do that for me since it seemed that he hated us but I then headed to the Great Hall were I could hear everyone before going over and sitting with my brother who immediately got up before hugging me making me laugh at him. "I'm alright, I just felt dizzy last night." He nodded but things kinda slowed down after that since Hermione was doing nothing but reading I sighed saying that I was going to take a walk which had Harry joining me as we walked through the halls and down to Professor Snape's room which had Harry looking at me confused. "I haven't had the chance to thank him for taking me to the infirmary yet." Harry nodded as I knocked on the door before being allowed to enter which Harry said he'd stay out there so I opened the door before walking in and over to his desk waiting to be acknowledged which he did moments later using his same trademark glare at me. "I haven't had the chance to thank you for taking me to Madam Pomfrey yet since she told me to take it easy for a bit so Harry and the other's have had me holed up in the common room thinking I'm going to black out again... no idea why I did though..." That seemed to surprise Professor Snape as he asked me if Madam Pomfrey told me about but I just shook my head no that she hadn't so he told me that he would get to the bottom of it which had me nodding before he told me to get back to my common room to rest, but I asked him if he wouldn't mid letting us meet Malfoy and Blaise.
