Chapter 12 - Attack's

However when Draco refused he used a spell making it shot into the air as Ron caught it but then Draco said something he shouldn't have enough though it was true, "I don't think Potter liked your valentine much!" I walked over and slapped him before pulling both boys into the room royally ticked off now with Percy calling after me but at the moment I didn't care I was bored the rest of the day before going to bed after finishing my homework seeing that Harry was still awake by then, but I was happy that he was better now even if still upset with Draco. I was stunned when I got to my bed that was covered with presents which had the other's in our room smiling at me making me groan as I quickly put them away before climbing into bed falling asleep the minute I hit the pillow exhausted from the days activities. Then next morning Harry told us about what he found out about while writing in the diary while I went through the gifts I had already knowing that Hagrid had a thing for weird creature's, I was happy that I got a few things from everyone including Blaise which was a betrothal necklace that had protections on it. So I immediately put it on smiling but something about the spider's fleeing didn't add up to the creature in the chambers being one of there own so I knew the monster down there couldn't be a spider they went on to say about Hagrid getting expelled along with how Tom got his award but something still felt out of place. "If Hagrid did control the monster why would he attack and kill someone you all know how cheerful he is, if he was the one behind it all then why wait this long for another attack? Why would he still be as cheerful as he is now and still do his duty to the school if it was me I would have done everything in my power to fulfill what I wanted to do." Everyone went silent at that realizing what I had said was true but then Hermione suggested that we go and talk to Hagrid about it but then Ron dashed that saying that we shouldn't ask him about it since it didn't make sense after the last attacker no one else was attacked so everyone thought it was over even Ernie was being nice then when the Mandrakes began to throw a load and raucous party in greenhouse three that Madam Sprout very happy. "The moment they start trying to move into each other's pots, we'll know they're fully mature, then we'll be able to revive those poor people in the hospital wing." She had told once one day, then all us second years were given something new to think about during the Easter Holidays since it was time to choose what we wanted for our third year, I wanted to do Ancient Runes, Care of Magical Creatures and Arithmancy but I could tell that the boys wanted to give up Potions because Snape had been hard on them but Harry had gotten better at it lately mostly because I was helping him which had me sighing but I had to agree because our teacher's is stupid but Hermione snapped at him for it.

It seemed everyone had been sent letter's about what they should be doing for next year well all but Harry and I since we didn't have anyone that wanted to send us things like that but I guess they knew that we knew what was best for us and no one else so they didn't even try or it could be that since Dumbles had a mail ward on us that none could get through. I did have a thought as to what Vernon and Petunia would think about our future career's I wanted to do Ancient Runes, Arithmancy, and Care of Magical Creatures while Hermione suggested that we do Divination but I knew that would be stupid mostly because Harry was really good at Quidditch and Defense Against the Dark Arts I was pretty good about everything else but I knew none of us were good with History of Magic because Professor Binn's just teaches about goblins. Once we had chosen based on what we wanted we all just sat around chatting, with Harry and I both knew that they were betraying us so we made sure that we had different classes from them and did things we wanted to do the days passed we found out that there would a Quidditch match against Hufflepuff and Wood was insisting the team practice every night after dinner so that the team barely had time for anything but Quidditch and homework. I could tell that with all the practice they were doing that the team might just win the Cup this year legally without the old man's manipulations, however Harry's good mood didn't last long because that Saturday while Harry and I headed up to the common room to put Harry's broomstick away while I had a few books I wanted to read. We saw Neville standing at the stairs leading up which had me confused especially since he looked frantic, " Harry, Kaito - I don't know who did it - I just found -." we looked confused but he just looked at us afraid as he opened up the door and what was behind it had my jaw dropping. The contents of Harry's trunk were had been thrown everywhere around the room, his clothes cloak lay ripped on the floor, the bed clothes had been pulled off his four-poster and the drawer had been pulled out of his bedside cabinet the contents strewn everywhere, Harry walked opened mouthed to his bed while I started thinking of why someone would go this far it took us a few moments to clean everything up when Ron, Dean, and Seamus walked in. "What happened, Harry?" I went to my trunk grabbing out the books that I wanted, "No idea." Harry told them while Ron examined all Harry's robe pocket's, "Someone's looking for something, is there anything missing?" Ron asked Harry while Harry was putting things back into his trunk so it wasn't until he had everything back in that he realized that Riddle's diary was gone. "Riddle's dairy is gone." Then Harry figured it was time to leave the room so we did, before hurrying down to the Gryffindor common room which was half-empty and joined Hermione who was sitting alone reading a book called Ancient Runes made Easy which had me rolling my eyes, I had a feeling she wouldn't be able to actually do well in that class if she keeps on with 'I'm better than you act' since everyone was already sick of her for it which is why Harry, Ron and I are her only friends. Hermione seemed stunned at the news of Harry's stuff getting thrown about, "But - only a Gryffindor could have stolen - nobody else knows our password -." I nodded while Harry agreed since no one else knew about the diary in Harry's trunk, so it had to be a Gryffindor that was in the hallway that day when Harry got his valentine song by a dwarf, but I just put it in the back of my mind for now before sitting down and reading already tired of all this and just wanting a quiet year. Then when we woke up the next morning Wood kept going on and on about the match that day, Hermione said to report it but then he would have to report about what the diary really was, and that wouldn't be good and about why Hagrid had been sent to Azkaban all those years ago plus who would believe us about it anyway.

Then once we left the Great Hall so that Harry could go and get his stuff for Quidditch we had just stepped onto the marble stair case when I started getting a bad headache, before hearing, "Kill this time... let me rip... tear..." he then shouted to Hermione and Ron who jumped while I leaned against the wall holding my head, "The voice, I just heart it again - didn't you?" Ron shook his head while Hermione however clapped her hand to her forehead, "Harry - I think I've just understood something! I've got to go to the library!" she said and she sprinted up the stairs leaving both boys behind stunned but when I groaned Harry immediately ran to me before grabbing my arm and tossing it around his shoulder as he helped me to the infirmary calling out to Madam Pomfrey as I blacked out against Harry who started to have trouble holding onto me before Madam Pomfrey took over. When I woke up this time I heard Harry and Ron talking about something so I looked over to see Hermione laying there before trying to sit up, "Kaito! How are you feeling?" I looked at them like really before saying, "Yeah, just a bad headache like always." he nodded as Madam Pomfrey came over with a potion that she had carrying a potion for me which I quickly downed knowing they didn't taste good, "Alright you can leave young Mr. Potter." I nodded understanding as we left while both boys told me that the match had been cancelled because of the attack on two students this time, before we headed back to the Gryffindor common room with Professor McGonagall who went slowly because of me still not up to speed so it took us a little while to get there. "All students will return to their House common room by six o'clock in the evening, no student is to leave the dormitories after that time, you will be escorted to each lesson by a teacher. No student is to use the bathroom unaccompanied by a teacher all further Quidditch training and matches are to be postponed there will be no more evening activates." I could tell that this was starting to get everyone since McGonagall then said that if the culprit isn't caught then the school would have to be closed but I could tell that Percy seemed really out of it the twins thought it was because he thought they never would have attacked a Prefect but I had a feeling it was because of the latest attack on Hermione and a Ravenclaw by the name of Penelope Clearwater who it seemed he spent a lot of time with. I could tell that Harry was only half-listening to what was going on since people thought that we were worried about going back to the Dursley's but we weren't since we'd be going to our own place. Then Ron and Harry knew they had to talk to Hagrid so I told them that I would stay here to make sure no one knows they left which had them nodding as we told everyone we were heading to bed which they believed since I've been in the infirmary for a few hours but then the boys left once we got up there using the cloak to go to Hagrid's while I covered there beds with the curtains making it seem like they were asleep. I sat down in mine before pulling out a book I had about abilities which had me reading about Parselmouth's and what it could do while also finding out that it might work on dragons which surprised me but I also found something on Beast Speaker's as the other's came up making me smile at them since they all knew that I liked reading before sleeping. They told me what happened when they got back which had me worried since with Hagrid now gone things might get worse since he might have been able to put a stop to whatever monster was in the Chamber, they then said that Dumbles would be gone as well which had me sighing knowing we'd have more attacks now.

It was two weeks later when we learned why Draco had been so happy and everything since everyone else was upset about all this but I had to agree with Draco since it was about time someone got rid of Dumbles since he didn't really do anything to keep this place afloat the right way since we could have easily had more teacher's and things like that. Though I had to agree with him yet again when he asked Professor Snape why he didn't become the headmaster himself, "Now, now Malfoy, Professor Dumbledore has only been suspended by the governors', I daresay he'll be back with us soon enough." I could tell he was trying really hard not to smile at that, but then Draco continued to praise Snape making me smile knowing that Draco had the same thoughts we did that Dumbledore needed to be replaced since he was more interested with Harry and myself than actually running this stupid school and keeping it going with updated classes and schedule's.
