Meeting The Family

(Soffia's Pov)

As I wake up, I move my arm to my side and feel that I'm alone. Opening my eyes, I see that Alice and Jasper are no longer here. Pouting at that, I roll over and grab my phone from the side of my bed, seeing a message from Alice.

After I send my response, I look at the time, seeing that it's only ten right now, and I whine and look around to see that my stuffed polar bear Ben is on the ground. I quickly snatched him up from the ground and hugged him. "I am so sorry, Ben that will never happen again," I said to him softly.

I got out of bed and quickly made it and set him in the middle of it. After giving him a kiss on the head, I head downstairs to the kitchen. Mom's working all weekend so I probably won't see much of her. As I get to the kitchen, I make myself a bowl of cereal along with some fruit on the side. As I eat my breakfast, I decide to text mom to let her know my plans.

Soffia: Hey, mom! I'm going to be going to Alice and Jaspers to meet their family today. I don't know how late I'll be out.

Mom: Okay, honey, just make sure to keep me updated and be safe. I love you.

Soffia: I love you too, mom!

I finish my food and quickly do my dishes. Going upstairs, I go into my bathroom and decide to take a nice hot shower to relax my muscles and just have time to think about everything. After my forty-five minute shower, I get out and blow dry my hair. When I finish blow drying my hair, I stare at myself for awhile, trying to figure out what I want to do with it.

Parting my hair, I put it into two high ponytails and bubble braided it. Going into my bedroom, I went to my dresser and started pulling random clothes out, trying to find something to wear. I grab a white turtleneck and slip it on along with jeans, tucking the shirt into them, and grab a pink button-up fuzzy cardigan and put it over it.

Grabbing my backpack I make sure my sketchbook and the book I'm reading are in it, and I grab my stuffed polar bear and put him gently in there so he can be with me today. Heading downstairs, I sit down on the couch and wait until Alice and Jasper arrive.

Hearing a knock at the door, I get up and open it. "Hey Sof!" Alice says she's going to bring me into a hug, chuckling, I hug her back. "Hey Al," I respond as she lets me go and gives me a quick kiss. "Hey Jasper," I say, pecking his cheek he smiles at me and kisses me. "Hey bubbles," he says, I close the door and make sure it's locked.

We all get into the car, and as we are driving to their house, I start to feel anxious. What if their family doesn't like me? I feel a wave of calmness run over me. I look into the mirror and see Jasper giving me a comforting smile. I smile back, thanking him with my eyes, and look out the window again.

We arrive at their house, and the first thing I notice is how beautiful it is. "It's beautiful," I say as I start toward the house. "Thank you, love," Alice says, coming up next to me and taking my hand. Looking over at her, I give her a nervous smile. "Are you ready?" she asks, giving my hand a comforting squeeze.

Smiling, I nod. As we walk up to the door, Jasper opens it for us and kisses my cheek as we pass him. Blushing a bit, I chuckle and tighten my grip on Alice's hand. We walk into a room, which I assume is the living room, and I see Rosalie and Emmett sitting down on the couch, staring off at the television.

I also notice Doctor Cullen and a woman, whom I assume is his wife, talking on the other couch. As we walk further into the room, they turn towards us. Getting a little nervous, I slightly move myself behind Alice. "Esme, Carlisle, this is Soffia," Alice says happily. "Welcome to our home, Soffia," Esme says, coming up to me for a hug. Letting go of Alice's hand, I hug her back.
