(Soffia's Pov)
Four months laterSchool has started again it's boring, but at least I get to see Alice and Jasper every day. I feel so tired today. my head has been hurting along with my throat being sore. I'm at lunch now with everyone I'm in between Alice and Jasper. Laying my head down on the table, I close my eyes and try to get the pounding in my head to stop.
"Baby, are you okay?" Alice asks softly, setting her hand on my back, whining. I look up at her. "My head hurts," I say, with tears welling up in my eyes. "Hey, no need for tears, baby," she says, pulling me closer to her and feeling my head. I relax a little as her cold hand rests on my head.
"Jasper, she feels really warm." Alice says softly, I whine as she takes her hand away."We should take her home," Jasper says before getting up and grabbing our things. Alice helps me stand and says her goodbyes to everyone, saying that they'll see them when they get home.
We go to the office, and all quickly sign our names out before we head out to the car. Alice helps me in the back seat before buckling my seat belt for me and getting in her seat. After a little bit, I feel myself start to slip and close my eyes. We make it to their house, and Daddy comes to my side and gently unbuckles me and sets me on his hip.
Laying my head down on his shoulder, I close my eyes. I start whining when he sets me down on the couch. "Baby, can you tell mama what hurts?" Mama asks, coming over and sitting down and letting me lay my head in her lap. "Head, throat, and tummy," I say softly, looking up at her.
Grabbing her hand, I set it on my head and hold it. "No move," I say, giving her a serious look. She laughs and keeps her hand on my head. "Here, princess, can you sit up and take this for me?" Daddy says, coming over to me and squatting down next to me.
Whining, I hide my face in Mama's stomach. "Nu," I mumble into her shirt. "Please, Sof, it will make you feel better," he says. Hesitantly turning my head, I look at him. "Promise it will make me feel better?" I ask, sitting up and tilting my heads. "I promise, princess," he says softly.
I take the little medicine cup out of his hands, hesitantly bring it up to my lips, and quickly swallow it. "Good girl," Daddy says before kissing my head and going back to the kitchen. Blushing slightly, I lay my head back down in Mama's lap and look up at her. "Hi sweet girl," mama says, smiling at me and running her hand through my hair.
I smile up at her. "Hi mama," I say softly, bringing my hand up to her cheek and resting it. Mama brings her hand up to mine and smiles before gently grabbing and kissing it. "I love you, baby," mama says. "I love you, mama," I respond before bringing my thumb up to my mouth. "No, no, baby, that's yucky," mama says, gently pulling my thumb away from my mouth.
Whining loudly, I kick my feet softly "Here, Alice. I brought you this to try with her," Daddy says, coming back into the room and handing something to Mama. "Sof, do you want some warm milk?" Mama asks looking down at me. "Yes, please," I say softly. "Do you want to try a bottle?" Mama asks, holding up a pink bottle in my line of sight.
Looking between the bottle and mama, I nod hesitantly. Mama brings it to my lips slowly. I part my lips a little and allow mama to set the nipple in my mouth. Suckling softly, I feel the warm liquid hit the back of my throat. Relaxing as I slowly drink my milk and cuddle closer to mama as she pulls me more on her lap.
"Good girl, Sof," mama says softly, bringing me closer and kissing my head. Smiling behind my bottle, I grab the top of mama's shirt and cling to it, not letting her go. Mama starts to hum softly and rock us back and forth, and I feel myself starting to feel drowsy as my eyes flutter shut and the darkness takes me over.
Two hours later
Waking up, I notice I'm now in mama and daddy's room alone at least they left my teddy with me. My throat doesn't hurt anymore, but I still have a headache. Sitting up, I hold my teddy in one hand and get off the bed gently, noticing I'm only in one of daddy's shirts, not caring to put on pants, as I slowly make my way out of the room.
Peaking around the corner, I walk down the stairs and see mama and daddy in the kitchen talking with Esme. Giggling softly, I sneak up behind Daddy and jump on his back. "Boo!" I squeal. He laughs and spins me around before setting me softly on the ground.
"Oh no, you scared me bubbles," he says, faking as he sets his hand on his chest. Giggling, I hold my hands up to him, and he picks me up. "I got you, daddy," I say before laying my head on his shoulder. "You sure did bubbles," he says softly with a chuckle. "Do you feel better, baby?" Mama asks, coming up to me and setting her hand on my head.
Liking the feeling of her cool hand on my head, I lean into her touch. Mama smiles and holds her hand there. "Head til it hurts but I feel little better," I mumble softly, looking at her. She nods and removes her hand, letting it fall to her side. "Are you hungry, Sof?" Esme asked, looking at me with soft eyes.
Shying away, I hide my face in daddy's neck. "Baby, can you answer Esme please?" mama says softly rubbing my back. I keep my face in Daddy's neck and cling to him. "Soffia, please answer Esme," Daddy says before setting me on the ground next to him.
Tearing up, I look up at him and make grabby hands to him. "Up, daddy," I say, stomping my foot. "First you need to answer Esme, and second, that's not how you ask for things, little girl," Daddy says, crossing his arm and looking at me in disapproval. Letting myself fall to the ground, I cry and curl into a ball. I feel someone come beside me and set their hand on my back.
"Baby, please look at mama," mama says softly. I look up at her with red eyes and tears streaming down my face. She gives me a sad look before pulling me onto her lap. "Can you please tell Mama why you are crying?" Mama asks, slowly swaying us.
"Daddy nu pick me up, and I just wanna be held and and donts feel good, and I was shy because I am still anxious to be small round other people." I hiccup as I cling to mama, "Baby, I'm sorry you don't feel good, but it's not nice to ignore, and Daddy didn't mean to hurt your feelings he just wanted you to respond to Esme," mama explains well, holding me close to her.
Rubbing my eyes and looking at her, I nodded softly, "Sowwie, mama, and daddy," I said softly before laying my head back down on Mama's shoulder. "Thank you for apologizing for bubbles, now can you please tell Esme what you want for lunch?" Daddy says, coming up to mama and me and kissing my head.
I look over to Esme and see she's staring at me with soft eyes and a small smile, returning the smile. "Soup, please," I say softly to her before looking down. "Soup it is, dear," Esme says before starting the food. "Good girl, thank you," Daddy says, taking me out of Mama's arms and resting me on his hip.
Hiding my face back into his neck, daddy takes a seat at the table, and we wait for the soup as they all talk about boring things. After awhile, Esme sats down with a bowl in front of me. Looking up at her, I offer her a smile. "Thank you, Esme," I say before leaning against Daddy's chest as he brings the spoon up to my mouth.
"Rosie!" I squeal as Rosalie walks into the kitchen. She is one of the only other people I've really been close with over the months. She comes over to me and takes me from Daddy. "Hey Sof!" she says, holding me. "I missed you!" I say, bringing both my hands to her cheeks and kissing her nose. She laughs and kisses my nose back. "I missed you too, little cutie," she says before setting me back down in Daddy's lap.
"You finish your food we will hang out later, promise," Rosalie says before going off with Emmett. I finish my soup, and mama takes care of it as daddy brings me upstairs and sets me on the bed. I lay down and curl into the middle, holding my teddy close to me, as I watch daddy put in a movie and come over to lay with me.
"Mama and I have to go hunting after you go to bed, but don't worry, we will be back before you awake," he explains softly, looking at me. I nod before looking at the television as Care Bears pops up. It's my favorite movie. Squealing excitedly, Daddy starts the movie, and I get lost in it before falling asleep at some point.
