How it started

Denali

(Soffia's Pov)
Three hours into the car ride

We are almost at Denali, Alaska, and I'm excited to see everyone again, I haven't seen them since my birthday trip. I know everyone is upset that we had to leave, but I'm sure they are happy to be able to visit friends. Edward isn't going with us to Denali, though he went his separate way to be alone.

I feel horrible for Bella, I didn't even say goodbye because I didn't have time. She's tried to call me over fifty times and left me a dozen messages. Mama took my phone, though, so I wouldn't reply because I was about to. Hopefully we can go back soon. "You okay, baby?" Mama ask, looking back at me. I nod, looking at her. "Es mama," I say softly, holding my bunny in my arms.

"How much longer, mama?" I ask as I watch the trees pass. "About an hour," she responds. I groan quietly as I cross my arms, pouting I whine as I kick my legs. "How about you read one of your books you brought?" Mama suggests. I shake my head and whine, "Dats boring I wanna play," I say.

"Bubbles, I promise that after we get settled, when we get there, I'll bring you outside to play in the snow, but for now, can you be a good girl and read a book?" Daddy says calmly. "Mama play to?" I ask looking at her. She smiled and nodded, "Yes, mama will play to," she says. "Okay, I read," I say, opening my backpack and grabbing one of my books. "Thank you, baby," Mama says as she turns back to face the front.

An hour later

We have finally arrived I'm not feeling little anymore, and I'm not comfortable enough around them just yet to be. I fold my blanket up and set it in my bag along with my book and stuffed animals before zipping it back up. I look up out the window to see Esme and Carlisle already here and outside with the rest of the Denali coven.

Rosalie and Emmett pulled in after us, unbuckling and opening the door to get out, and I slipped my bag onto my back. "Sof, come get your suitcase," Alice said from the back of the car. Walking back to the trunk, I grab my suit case and set it on the ground to pull. I skip over to Rosalie and Emmett's car, "Hi Rosie," I say softly.

"Hi little bunny, did you enjoy the car ride?" Rosalie asked, grabbing her bags from the car, "no, it was boring." I grumbled, she laughed, and she agreed with me. "Hey short stack," Emmett says, coming over to me and ruffling my hair. Rolling my eyes, I push his hand away. "Hi Emmy," I say, sticking my tongue out at him.

"Little rascal," he says, sticking his tongue out at me. I laugh before going over to Alice and Jasper they are now with everyone else, so I go in between them, as Rosalie and Emmett follow behind. "Hi Soffia," Tanya says, coming up to me. "Hi Tanya," I say, smiling, as she brings me into a hug.

"I'm sorry about your mother, how are you?" Tanya asks, pulling away and giving me a soft smile, "Thank you, I'm okay. I've had a hard time losing her, but having Alice, Jasper, and everyone else here for me has helped a lot," I say softly. She rubs my arm comfortably.

Kate walks up to me and brings me into a tight hug, lifting me off the ground. Laughing, I wrap my arms around her. "Hi Katie Kat," I say. She laughs and gently sets me back on the ground. "Hello, FiFi, I've missed you," Kate says. "I've missed you too," I say as I hug her again before pulling away. Kate smiles and rubs my back. "Now we have more time to hang out," Kate says, wiggling her eyebrow as I laugh.

"Hi Soffia, how are you, hunny?" Carmen says that after coming over to us and bringing me into a hug, I hugged her back before pulling away. "I'm good, Carmen, "How have you been?" I ask, "I'm well," Carmen says with a soft smile before excusing herself as she goes back over to Eleazar. "Hello, Soffia," Eleazar says as he wraps his arms around Carmen.

"Hi Eleazar," I respond with a small smile. I look towards Irina and wave she waves back before continuing to talk to Esme and Carlisle. "Would you guys like to come in now and get settled?" Tanya
ask as everyone says yes as we follow them inside. Jasper grabs my suitcase from me. Smiling, I kiss him on the cheek. "Thank you, Jazzy," I say.
