Lost

(Soffia's Pov)

"Hey princess," Jasper says, coming into the room and taking a seat at the end of the bed as I rub the sleep out of my eyes. As I look outside, I notice it's still dark out. "Hi," I whisper, bringing my bunny to my chest and hugging it tightly. "I'm sorry about last night I didn't mean to scare you," he says, looking down at his lap.

I watch him for a couple minutes before I move closer to him. "It's okay, I know it's harder for you than the others," I respond, moving to sit in his lap and looking into his eyes. "I know you won't hurt me, Jazzy," I say, putting my hands on his cheek. "I would never hurt you," Jasper responds, looking seriously into my eyes.

Smiling softly, I peck his lips and lay my head on his shoulder. "Thank you," Jasper says, running his hand through my hair and kissing the top of my head. "I love you, Jazzy," I say softly. "I love you too, Princess," he responds, rocking us gently. "What time is it?" I say, yawning. "It's still really early, Sof. After Alice comes in, you need to go back to bed," he explains, brushing my hair out of my face.

"Hello, my loves," Alice says, coming into the room and smiling at us. "Hi Al!" I say excitedly getting off of Jasper's lap and running up to her, Alice chuckles and gently picks me up and spins me around. "Hi, beautiful girl," she says, kissing my cheek. "I missed you," I say. "I missed you too, baby," Alice responds as she sets me down on the bed.

"Jasper and I still have to give you our gift," Alice says. Moving to sit on my knees, I hold my bunny in one arm "What is it?" "What is it?" I ask. They chuckle and look at me amused. "Patiences, baby," Alice says before going into the closet and grabbing a small gift box.

Alice walks over to me and hands me the box I take it softly and smile, looking between them. Opening the box, I gasped and looked up at them. "It's beautiful," I said softly, pulling a silver locket out of the box with a beautiful design on it. "It has a picture of Jasper and me in it," Alice says softly.

I open the locket and look at the picture of them and smile. "I love it so much," I say before Alice gently takes it from me and puts it around my neck. Bringing them both into a hug and smile, "I love you guys so much," I say. "We love you too," they say in unison. I bring my hand to the locket and hold it in my hand, smiling as another yawn escapes my lips.

"Come on, darling, you need to get back to bed," Jasper says, holding his hands out for me. I pout and look up at him. "But I wanna stay up with you and mama," I say softly, feeling myself start to feel smaller. He smiles softly, comes up to me, and gently lifts me onto his hip.

"Mama and I will be with you as you sleep, and when you wake up, bubbles," Daddy says softly as he lays me down in bed and covers me up. I cuddle into the bunny that Aunt Rosie gave me and smile. "Promise you'll stay?" I ask looking between them. "Promise baby," Mama says, laying down next to me and pulling me into her.

I nuzzle my face into her chest and close my eyes as I feel Daddy wrap his arm around mama and me. "I love you, pretty girl," Mama says as she kisses my forehead. "I love you too, Mama," I say in a whisper as I feel daddy move to kiss my head. "Goodnight, princess, I love you," he says before going back to laying down next to mama and having his arm around us.

"Goodnight, daddy, I love you too," I respond before mama offers me my pacifier, which I accept. Slowly I find a comfortable rhythm with it, and I feel myself drifting into sleep, feeling safe with my mommy and daddy around me.

The next day

"Mom?" I say, opening the front door to the house and setting my bag on the table, "she must be at work already," I mutter to myself as I go to the kitchen for a snack. I grab a bag of chips and a bottle of water, go upstairs to my room, and jump on my bed.
