So, I know I did a John short last chapter but I had my friend pick between Negan, Jeffrey, and John. She chose John-Hoshi

~Your pov~

I lay in my bed, I had been traveling with the Winchester family for a month, and John was reluctant to allow me to travel with them, but Sam and Dean wanted to have a female role model around, and John had a type of weakness to those boys. I was reading up on the different creatures and monsters and how to kill them. The boys were watching TV, I sat up to make sure they weren't trying to kill each other, they weren't thankfully, they were watching Scooby-Doo, I let out a soft sigh as I turned the page. The hotel door opened and closed. "Daddy!" Sam ran up to John who let out a sigh and picked up Sam as Dean ran up and John kissed his head. "Were you boys good for Y/n?" he asked as I closed the book I was reading and then nodded. "I was just about to make them dinner, want some?" I asked as he nodded. I was more of a glorified nanny for the boys than a hunter like him. "Sure" he nodded as I stood up and stretched, I walked into the little kitchen area to make all of us some dinner which was gonna be hamburgers, I cooked our dinner and served everyone.

~Time skip to a few years~

I raced through the streets of Kanawha, West Virginia, I was headed back to my hotel and I was driving my motorcycle. I pulled into the hotel parking lot and parked. I looked over and saw the impala parked in the parking lot and a black truck. I removed my helmet as Sam, Dean, and John walked out of a hotel room. "Winchester boys, back together," I said as Dean chuckled, "it's good to see you too...what exactly are you doing here?" he asked as I smiled, "Sam and you are no longer kids, y'all no longer need a babysitter," I said as I swung my leg around and got off my motorcycle. I glanced over at John who looked tired, "I'm doing what I do best" I walked over to my hotel door, unlocked it, and walked in. "Which is wha-..." Dean cut himself off when he saw the papers tacked to the wall and the papers on the little table, "hunting" Sam chuckled as I nodded. "It's what I do best...learned from the best," I said as they smiled, "seems like we're hunting the same thing" John spoke for the first time since seeing me, "so it would seem" I nodded as I removed my hoodie and tossed it onto my bed. "You guys wanna beer? Sandwich? Something?" I asked as they chuckled, "I'll take a beer" Dean spoke as I snorted, "of course" I got into the minifridge, pulled out a beer, and tossed it to him.

~A few minutes later~

"So it's not a werewolf" Sam spoke sighing while closing the book he had "then what the hell is it?" I asked looking at the papers I had tacked up on the wall, "I don't get it...three attacks within the same month for the past four years..." I said running my fingers through my hair, Dean and John walked in, "well, we know it's a frigging ghost!" Dean said as John sat down on the bed with a groan, "how'd you figure that out?" Sam asked, "because dad and I were just frigging attacked us on the way to get food," Dean said as I sighed, "another attack..." I whispered as I sighed, Sam and Dean went to their room, and John and I shared a room, "how bad is it?" I asked John not looking at him, "not that bad" he spoke as I grabbed the first aid, I looked at him and he looked at me. "Where?" I asked as he sighed, "Y/n, it's fine" he spoke as I shook my head, "riiight...and I'm the antichrist" I joked and he chuckled. I sat down across from him with my legs crossed, "c'mon, show me the damage" I said as he sighed, he groaned in pain as he pulled his shirt over his head and let it lay on the bed beside us. On his left pec was a cut deep enough to need stitches, and a bite mark on his shoulder. "You were bitten by it?" I asked as he nodded, I got off the bed, and grabbed my lighter, and my journal. I flipped through the pages, "ah-ha!" I spoke as I flipped the page and showed him. "A Revenant?" he arched an eyebrow.

"Yeah, I mean...Revenants are sometimes known as biters, right? And they're a form of a ghost..." I said as I opened the first-aid, I grabbed a needle and started to heat it up. "But, unlike all other ghosts, which are naturally incorporeal, and require calmness or anger to become corporeal, revenants are naturally solid. They cannot pass through walls and are able to interact with their environments as easily and constantly as the living, possessing the same metaphysical constraints as they did when they were alive i.e. weight, strength; having shadows, etc. Which means, they can be wounded and bleed like humans, and they also feel pain." he spoke as I nodded, "I know, I've read the books you would leave when you would go on a hunt and leave me with the boys" I said as he chuckled when I threaded the needle. "This thing went through the impala...Dean slammed on the breaks, we got out, looked around, and were attacked" he told me as I run my hand over my face.
