05 | the new guy
A couple days later Suzu went to one of her pre-requisite classes like usual. She will admit, part of her was still bothered by the fact that Mino quite literally just ghosted her and when she talked to Namjoon about it all he said was that Mino texting him that he'd gone home.
Namjoon wanted to talk to Yunha because she knew Mino's parents but Suzu doesn't know what happened after that. Suzu tried not to think about it too much even though it's been over a week since she'd last seen him. It's fine. She's ended longer relationships like it was nothing. It shouldn't be hard to get over Mino's sudden ghosting, right?
"Excuse me."
It took Suzu a second to realize someone was talking to her and when she looked she was pleasantly surprised. The stranger gave her a polite smile, "Is this seat taken?"
She glanced down at the empty seat next to her then around the small lecture hall that was already packed. She nodded her head absentmindedly going back to taking her things out of her bag. From the corner of her eye she could see a little of the stranger. Her eyes caught on the ink that ran down an arm.
"I'm Jungkook."
"What?" Suzu's brows furrowed, once again not paying close enough attention when he spoke and when she looked up he laughed softly in amusement. "I'm Jungkook, I just transferred."
"To this class?" Suzu asked letting her eyes trail from head to toe, he even had facial piercings. Jungkook shook his head, "University."
"Nice," she nodded in acknowledgement turning over to face the front only to see the professor not even in the room yet. "Oh I'm Suzu."
"Suzu?" Jungkook repeated softly, almost breathless trying to see how it'd sound rolling off his tongue. The 'z' was a little harder for him to pronounce but she tried helping him with the pronunciation, "Suzu."
His brows scrunched in concentration as he repeated her name to himself. She looked back to him, his motivation to get it right was pretty amusing but in a good way. Catching her smiling at him he smiled back, lip ring moving with his smile.
The class begun and Suzu quit paying any attention to Jungkook. She was leaned forward a bit, closer to the desk so she could type and take notes. Jungkook was leaned back in his chair, lazily writing his notes and yet getting every word said by the professor. From the way he was leaned back, he had a better view of Suzu's side profile without being caught. He took side glances at her every now almost like he wanted to remember everything he could see. He was taking photographs in his mind.
