24 | suspicious group
It was all over the news for days. Everyone was going crazy over the fact that Ghostface was still loose despite the police having someone in custody. The pressure was starting to drop on officials due to their lack of evidence. Jin felt as though he was going crazy. Any little piece of information he could get was never enough. It wasn't like the killer left evidence everywhere he went.
They couldn't get DNA if he was dressed from head to toe in a costume. They couldn't look at cameras if the killer was always dressed as Ghostface and fast enough to run away whenever he needed to. He didn't leave little notes for the cops to solve or call them as a prank. All Jin could go based off was Suzu Ramos.
"I know this is a hard time for everyone right now," Jin said the following day as he went to visit Suzu. He should be doing this in his office at the police department but he's not going to. With the way reporters have been swarming the building ready to twist any story, he wanted to be discreet. Nobody knew his suspicions yet, and how he believed it was somehow tied to Suzu.
It just didn't make sense to him. All he knows so far was:
1. The killer is from this area. It's the only explanation as to why they must know all the hidden streets and places to hide at.
2. The murders of the first two women aren't necessarily tied to Jin's suspicions. He believes that the killer was just making himself known, raising fear before he attacked the people he truly wanted to. The two women were just a test run to see if they could actually get away with it and so far they have.
3. After visiting Mino in his family home and prying the information out of him and his family, he knew now that he had been attacked by the same ghostly figure. The only thing that made Jin skeptical about thing Mino's attacked with Ghostface was the fact that Mino was never stabbed. He retold the events to the officer and it just didn't seem like Ghostface.
According to Mino, he had been looking for a cab after drinking with friends - Kim Namjoon, being one of them. He was using a short cut down an alley when he bumped into someone. He told Jin that he was too drunk to really pay attention but that it seemed like just an ordinary robbery. He gave Ghostface all his things but it didn't matter. He was beaten bloody and blue with a broken 4x4 wooden post. He recalled the attacker hitting him like he was mad, letting out all his anger at Mino. Then when he left Mino on the floor, he took his phone and called the ambulance for him before disappearing.
So, Ghostface didn't want Mino dead, at least not yet.
4. The fourth thing was Suzu's own attack. Out of all the attacks Ghostface has done, she's the most lucky victim of them all. She left with a wound on her hand that needed stitches and that was all.
The first two victims were stabbed to death. Mino had been brutally attacked and left to bleed out on his own, but he survived.
Even after Suzu, the attacks only seemed to worsen.
