07 | keep him close

"Last night in the neighborhood of __ police were called around 2:40 am in regards to a stabbing. Clear signs of struggle have been found on the victim's body meaning she put up a fight against her attacker. No witnesses during the time of the attack, a jogger called authorities at 6:35 am," Suzu was currently reading another news articles about another murder. "At this time there are no leads but authorities are working to uncover the case. The murder has been tied to the murder of the college student just a couple weeks prior found in the __ District. If there are any witnesses please come forward with any information."

Distracted with the news she missed the dark shadow peering over her, a hand to her shoulder had her jumping in her seat. As soon as she turned a smile spread across her lips, "Hey."

"What are you looking at?" Jungkook asked as he took a seat next to her in the library. He wore a black crew neck with bandana pattered black sweats and thick boots. He dropped his books onto the table with his laptop. Suzu showed him her screen and he skimmed through the headline giving a shrug of his shoulders. He cleared his throat, "Things are getting crazy."

"Yeah, this is my neighborhood, it's kinda scary," Suzu said biting her lip in thought unaware of the way Jungkook's eyes trailed down to them, licking his lips in the process. She continued scrolling through the article reading of the possible perpetrator. Yet again they're looking at the hooded figure wearing a ghost mask. Suddenly, Jungkook's hands went over her eyes making her smile a little.

Once her phone was down on the table turning to look at him he finally moved his hand away, leaning into her a little more making sure they were face to face. He smiled with a bit of teeth showing lowering his hand from her face, "Sorry, I just wanted your attention on me."

"Gross, that was kinda cheesy," she teased making Jungkook laugh softly in agreement. They were supposed to be doing homework right now before Suzu had to go into work but they've only been talking now. It didn't take long for two to get close after meeting. Jungkook was easy to talk to and get along with. He made her laugh and texted a few times. He also distracted her from both of her ex boyfriends.

She didn't mind the flirting, it was fun and it helped that Jungkook was attractive. He had a pretty smile and a little stutter when he got too excited.

Jungkook's hand that had once been on her face was on the table, not even a centimeter away from hers. His finger reached out, touching the tip of Suzu's, it looked like he was shy now. His eyes rounded and that little spark was back, "Call me whenever you're out late, I'm serious."

"Okay," Suzu said.

"So what are you doing after work?" Jungkook cleared his throat wanting to end this conversation. He's done one problem of his homework so far and that's only because he copied it from Suzu. Since the moment he saw her he knew he wanted to get closer to her. It took a lot of restraint not to come on too strong but he couldn't help it. There was just something about her that drew him in. It wasn't just her looks even if he thought she was one of the most attractive girls he's ever seen.

He liked her smile too and the color of her eyes. Her voice was soft yet deep too and it was so soothing. Her laugh was contagious and he wanted to hear it more often especially if he was the cause of it.

"I'm meeting up with some friends," Suzu said with a shrug, "Why? Wanna come with?"

"Yeah sure," he answered while sliding her chair closer to his so he could copy her homework.

So later on in the day when she'd finished with work and gone home to change, Jungkook came by to pick her up. She showed him the directions to Jia's place and he headed over.
