Noah's heart clenched with fear as he heard a loud thud, like something heavy crashing to the ground. Without a second thought, he rushed to the source of the noise, his mind racing with worry. As he rounded the corner, his worst fears were realized: Sadie lay sprawled on the floor, blood pooling around her head. Time seemed to stand still as Noah's mind raced with panic. He knelt beside her, his hands trembling as he reached out to gently touch her, hoping against hope that she would respond. But Sadie lay motionless, her face drained of color, her breaths shallow and labored.

He felt a knot in his stomach as he saw Sadie lying unconscious on the floor, blood trickling from her head. Panic surged through him as he quickly dialed Ivan's number, his hands trembling with fear.

"Hey, Sadie. 1 hour and you finished your work. Wow, I am impressed," Ivan's voice sounded relaxed, unaware of the urgency in Noah's tone.

"Ivan, it's me, Noah, Sadie's friend. Sadie slipped from the stairs and is bleeding a lot. She is also unconscious. I am taking her to the hospital. Please reach out as soon as possible," Noah blurted out, his heart racing.

"Okay, okay. We will be there," Ivan replied, his voice suddenly tense with concern.

Noah's mind raced as he gently lifted Sadie's unconscious form and carefully laid her in the car. With adrenaline coursing through his veins, he drove to the hospital as fast as he could, his thoughts consumed by worry for his friend. When they arrived at the hospital, Noah rushed Sadie inside, his heart pounding with anxiety. Ivan and Mrs. Williams soon arrived, their faces etched with worry.

"Hey. How is she?" Ivan's voice trembled with concern as he approached Noah.

"I... I don't know. They're not telling me anything," Noah replied, his voice barely above a whisper.

"Okay, I will ask the doctors," Ivan said, determination in his eyes as he headed toward the medical staff.

"Hi, Noah. I've heard a lot about you. Thank you for bringing her here on time," Mrs. Williams said, her voice filled with gratitude and concern.

"No, no, please don't say thank you. Sadie is my friend. It was my duty," Noah replied, his own worry evident in his voice.

"It's amazing how much you and Sadie are alike," Noah remarked, his heart aching for his friend.

"I know. She is the daughter that I never had. I love Ivan, but I love Sadie more. She is the sunshine of our life. I hope she will be fine," Mrs. Williams said, tears brimming in her eyes as Noah enveloped her in a comforting hug.

As Noah comforted Sadie's stepmother, his mind was filled with worry for his friend. Sadie had become a ray of sunshine in his life, and the thought of losing her was unbearable.

"They're not telling anything right now. Just saying to wait for a few more hours till all the tests are done," Ivan said, his voice heavy with concern.

Fear gripped Noah's heart as he anxiously waited for news of Sadie's condition. Hours passed, each minute feeling like an eternity as Noah's worry deepened.

"It has been 3 hours since we brought Sadie here. Doctors are still not telling anything. I was supposed to be at the practice today, but the practice is not more important than Sadie's health. She is my first priority. Please wake up soon, S," Noah whispered to himself, his heart heavy with fear and concern.

Ivan approached Noah, his expression filled with empathy. "You okay? If you want to go, you can. We are here. We will call you if there is any update," Ivan offered, his voice filled with concern.

"No, I want to stay here. I want to stay with her. Thanks for asking," Noah replied, determination in his voice as he refused to leave Sadie's side.

Finally, after what felt like an eternity, the doctor emerged with news of Sadie's condition. Relief washed over Noah as he listened to the doctor's words, his heart lighter with the knowledge that Sadie was going to be okay.

"Can we meet her?" Noah's voice trembled with emotion as he pleaded with the doctor.

"Yes, you may meet her. One at a time," the doctor replied, a gentle smile on his face.

Noah's heart raced as he entered Sadie's hospital room, his eyes filled with relief as he saw her lying on the bed. Sitting beside her, he gently caressed her hair, his heart overflowing with love and concern for his friend.

"Sadie, never let anything like this happen again. We were all so worried about you. Wake up soon, I miss you, S," Noah whispered, his voice filled with emotion as he prayed for his friend's speedy recovery.
