As Noah returned to our table with a tray filled to the brim with desserts, I couldn't help but be taken aback by his choice. My eyes widened in surprise as I took in the assortment of sweets before me, a mixture of confusion and amusement swirling inside me.

"All desserts? What the hell, Noah?" I exclaimed, unable to contain my astonishment. The sheer quantity of sugary treats laid out before us was both impressive and overwhelming.

Noah chuckled softly at my reaction, a mischievous glint dancing in his eyes. "I couldn't decide what you'd like, so I got a little bit of everything," he explained with a grin. "Consider it a sweet surprise."

Despite my initial shock, I couldn't help but be touched by Noah's thoughtfulness. It was clear that he had gone out of his way to make me happy, and I couldn't help but feel a surge of affection for him.

"Wow, I don't even know where to start," I remarked, a hint of laughter in my voice as I surveyed the array of desserts before me. "But thank you, Noah. This is really sweet of you."

With a smile, Noah reached out to take my hand, his eyes warm with affection. "Anything for you, Sadie," he replied, his tone sincere. "I just want to see you smile."

"That is so sweet, but kindly keep this much sweetness to yourself from next time," I said, unable to suppress a laugh as I gently teased Noah. The pun was intended, and I couldn't resist poking fun at his choice of an overwhelmingly sweet surprise.

Noah's laughter echoed mine as he nodded in agreement, his eyes twinkling with amusement. "Got it, I'll keep that in mind," he replied, his tone lighthearted. "No more sugar overload for you."

We shared a playful grin, our banter lightening the mood and infusing the air with a sense of warmth and camaraderie. Despite the initial surprise at Noah's gesture, I couldn't help but appreciate his effort to make me smile.

As we were finishing our lunch, Noah's friends unexpectedly joined us at our table. I felt a pang of apprehension wash over me, unsure of how to navigate the situation. It was clear that I didn't quite fit in with Noah's circle of friends, and their sudden appearance only heightened my sense of discomfort.

To my surprise, Victor, Carter, and Liam each offered an apology to me, their expressions sincere as they acknowledged the awkwardness of the situation. I appreciated the gesture, though I couldn't shake the feeling of being out of place.

"I'm sorry about earlier, Sadie," Victor said, his voice tinged with genuine remorse. "We didn't mean to make you feel uncomfortable. It's just that we're not used to seeing Noah with someone new, you know?"

Carter nodded in agreement, his expression contrite. "Yeah, sorry about that, Sadie," he chimed in. "We're a tight-knit group, and sometimes we forget to make newcomers feel welcome. But trust me, we're a friendly bunch once you get to know us."

Liam offered a sheepish smile, his eyes apologetic. "Sorry for not introducing ourselves properly earlier," he added.

"We didn't mean to ignore you," Victor said, his voice genuine as he offered me a friendly smile.

Carter chimed in , extending his hand towards me. "I'm Carter, the charmer of the group. But don't worry, Sadie, I promise I won't steal Noah's thunder," he said with a wink, causing me to chuckle at his playful demeanor.

Liam, the last to introduce himself, leaned in with a mischievous grin. "I'm Liam, the smooth talker, I've got enough cheesy lines to go around," he said, his voice dripping with humor as he flashed me a charming smile.

Victor, seeing my amusement, joined in with a warm smile. "And I'm Victor, the loyal friend. Don't be shy, Sadie. We're all just here to have a good time," he said, his voice reassuring as he reached out to shake my hand.
