As Sadie and I sat in the cozy corner of Moonscape Cafe, I couldn't shake the feeling of nervous anticipation. This was our chance to take our plan to the next level—to involve my family and hopefully mend the rifts that had torn us apart for so long.

I hesitated for a moment, unsure how to put into words the complexities of my relationship with my father. "well, he's hardly around. When he is, it's like he's a stranger in our own home. His business takes him away a lot, but even when he's here, he's not really present. Our relationship is strained at best. He's never been the supportive father figure I needed. Instead, he's distant and uninvolved, leaving Mom to bear the brunt of our family's problems alone.," I explained, struggling to articulate the distance between us. "But maybe if we can show him that we're serious about making things right, he'll finally step up and be the father we need him to be."
