Anger

Mother and daughter shared words they both regret but, neither will admit. So the daughter ran away in the dark of night. On Easter morning the family woke up to find her gone.

The cave was dark, cold, and empty like the girl's heart. She sat and the dark and cried. Tears shed she steeled her heart and, told herself they didn't care. They dialed 911after half an hour of searching the house and the field. The police called teachers out who her friends are thinking maybe she went there. After searching for four hours the search turned up fruitless even though the friends and teachers joined the search.

She left the cave to go to the spring for a drink of the cold clear water. Little did she know that she was being watched by a pack of coyotes. She bent down and cupped her hands to her lips.

The family cried for the lost daughter. As they wept the mother called the father hoping she had showed up there. Her hopes crushed she listened to the father weep tears of loss.

As she drank the clear cold water the coyotes circled round. As they moved in they moved in they licked their slathering jaws. She saw the shadows of the coyotes as she finished.

As they wept the mother, father, and stepfather blamed themselves. The mother for the words she said. The father for not being there. The stepfather for not noticing the girls pain.

The coyotes and the girl both knew she didn't have a chance against them all. So without a hope without a doubt that she would die she turned and faced her fate. She fought with all the hate and anger that had been bottled up inside but, her fate was still the same as if she had given up without a fight.

When her body was found the mother sobbed her grief to the world. The trees, the sky, the birds, and the grass witnessed what has happened here the tears and blood shed. So let this be a lesson to you. Be careful what words you speak for they can't be taken back and might be the difference between happiness and misery.
