Chapter 4 Tina vs Art Class (part 1)

A couple weeks into the school year, it was already hustling and bustling with crazed students trying to make it through the year. Teachers were getting stricter, and tensions were quickly rising as grades and tests caused so much stress.

Some students didn't care about their classes and, thus, didn't even try. They would allow their grades to suffer and slip. They had no shame or regrets.

The six kids were very surprised about the students who slacked.

Albert and Hector would work together on flashcards during lunch on science and history. Tito and Bonzo would study during the study hour class. Pop would make up songs or poems to help him remember important facts for quizzes and tests.

Tina, however, had her own problems.

Her art teacher hated her.

The art teacher was a male paintbrush. Like Tina, he was very knowledgeable about art. But, unlike Tina, he didn't have the artistic ability. It seemed that Tina was always besting her own art teacher at everything. From stippling to broad strokes to even drawing basic shapes needed for more complex works.

It seemed like a never-ending cycle of Tina besting the art teacher.

Unfortunately, for Tina, she had no idea that her art teacher was jealous and mad because of her and her abilities. She just was so eager and excited to learn as much as she could about art and be more careful when it came to making mistakes.

That was until that day came:

The Battle!

Tina went into her class with high hopes. She was so excited to get started with her class and to have fun. Hector and Tito dropped her while Bonzo was watching from afar, making sure that they were OK and watching out for any bullies.

They were safe.

"Thank you, you guys, for dropping me off. Well, I gotta go, now. Art awaits for me!!!! I am so excited! I wonder what we are going to learn today.", she wondered.

Tito and Hector smiled.

"Of course, Tina. Have fun, OK?!", said Hector. "Yes, good luck, and express yourself freely.", said Tito.

Tina nodded and smiled before going into the class.

Little did she know of the disaster about to ensue.

And little did she know she was going to regret walking through the door.

Tina walked towards her desk and sat down, awaiting instructions from her art teacher. But, her art teacher simply stared at her with venom in his eyes.

"Time to teach her a lesson.", he thought to himself.

The teacher went up to Tina. He was so angry he wasn't even thinking clearly. He was only full of rage and jealousy.

And Tina was about to pay for it.

"OK, class, we are going to do things differently, today. We are going to have a competition. Between me and the 'best' student in the class.", he announced.

Everyone was surprised. This was quite the shocking turn of events.

Tina was intrigued, however. She was too innocent to know that she was about to fall into his trap.

Lo and behold, the teacher was ready for Tina's interest.

"Tina, since you are the best, you will face me in this challenge! The class will be the judges on our paintings. Whoever wins will have their painting on display in the hallway!", he declared.

Tina was very surprised. She wasn't expecting to be chosen in the challenge.

The teacher pulled up two easels and pallets in front of the class.

It was time.

"Tina, please, come forward. It is time to begin painting your picture.", he said.

Tina went up to the front and began to paint.

The teacher started as well.

The plan was in motion.

Tina's troubles had just begun.
