It was Christmas vacation. It was here at last. Everyone could not wait until the bell rang for them to finally get out for the holidays.

Pop was ready for the holidays. More than everyone, really.

He had a really bad day. He was crying and wailing in the boy's bathroom. Luckily, he was the only one in there, and the door concealed the noise.

But, it didn't hide away the fact that his crying was happening in front of poor Pop.

Some mean bullies from earlier decided to trip him in the hallway and whacked him upside the head with a binder. They even ripped up a drawing he did of his favorite character from one of his many favorite cartoons he watched. In front of him, no less.

How miserable.

Poor Pop cried all his tears out before watching the clock on the bathroom wall.

It was study hour: the last period of the day. Luckily, Pop wasn't missing anything important.

The bell rang, and everyone was free.

Willy picked up his kids and drove home.

But, something was wrong.

"Hey, Pop! Are you OK? You seem sad and upset.", asked Willy while driving his kids home.

Everyone looked at Pop in concern.

Pop nodded. "Yeah, I am fine. I just had some bully trouble, but I will be OK.", he replied.

Willy was so surprised at what he had just heard that he slammed the brakes, and everyone shouted in alarm as they braced themselves for the whiplash.

"WHAT?! What do you mean that you had some bully trouble?", asked Willy, now furious at the situation. Pop was scared and very intimidated. But, he knew he had to answer. "Well, some bullies, a toothbrush and a shaver, started tripping me in the hallway and hit me in the head with a binder. Then, they ripped up a drawing that I made of one of my favorite characters from one of my favorite cartoons.", he explained.

Now, Willy was fuming. But, the silence meant something crazy was now going to happen. "Hang on, kids, we are going for a... slight detour.", he said.

Everyone braced themselves. They knew what was going to happen next.

Willy immediately turned the car around and drove back towards the school.

The bullies were going to pay!

After a rather... questionable meeting with Willy, a frightened principal, and the two bullies who are now really afraid of Pop, everyone went back home.

Willy approached Pop, who was resting in the living room. "Pop, next time, tell me right away if there is something like this going on at school, OK? Bullying will not be tolerated whatsoever! Don't be afraid to tell me.", he made clear. Pop nodded. "OK, Willy.", he said, smiling.

Christmas vacation had now officially begun!!!!!!

There were two weeks off. Two weeks doing nothing. Two weeks of sleeping in, playing video games, reading, listening to music, watching movies and TV shows, and two weeks of freedom!

Best of all, Christmas was coming!

Everyone was excited for the holidays. They couldn't wait for Christmas day and celebrating with a nice dinner and gifts.

As the first week went by, Willy took everyone grocery shopping as well as shopping for Christmas wrapping paper, ribbons, and bows. As well as tape, tags, and markers for the tags.

Eggnog, apple cider, and hot chocolate were also bought. Willy even treated his kids to a huge popcorn tin. Pop was somewhat relieved that his family would take a break from eating his own popcorn. Not that he minded much depending on his mood, but it was still good to have a break.

Willy then went out without the six to Christmas shop for them. He didn't want the six to be with him as that would spoil the gifts and surprises that gifts brought when opened.

At the end of the first week, Willy and the six decorated the house for Christmas. The outside with hung with Christmas lights and a wreath. On the inside, Christmas knick knacks were put up, a tree was put up and decorated with ornaments and lights, and cookies were being baked and decorated with frosting.

The second week was all about wrapping presents and gifts as well as watching Christmas movies while sitting by the fire and drinking hot chocolate, wrapped up in warm blankets.

What a nice vacation. But, then... the big day had arrived.

Christmas!

Early during the morning, everyone woke up early and rushed to the living room! Christmas was finally here for them!

"Wake up, Willy!", "You can sleep later, lazy bones!", "Get up, it's Christmas!".

Willy was forced to get up as his kids rushed past the entrance to his room and into the living room, shouting the entire time for him to get up.

Willy groaned.

"Ugh! I am getting too old for this!", he mumbled to himself. But, secretly, he was happy. He truly cherished each and every single holiday with his six kids. Ever since they were born until now and would continue to do so in the future.

Later, everyone gathered around the Christmas tree. They were all super excited for opening their gifts. Willy smiled as he treasured this Christmas. The last Christmas of his kids being in middle school. Wow! Where did the time go?

***************************

Willy watched as his kids opened their gifts.

Albert got a calculator specialized for calculus. Pop got a new movie. Hector got a book on the history of Canada. Tito got a new atlas. Tina got some new markers and colored pencils. Lastly, Bonzo got a new lacrosse stick as his old one was all worn out.

Everyone loved their new gifts and made sure to thank Willy for them. Willy smiled and made sure to reassure them that their happiness was important to him.

That's when, to Willy's surprise, the six surprised him with a gift of their own, to Willy himself.

"Hey, Willy. We all pitched in and put together a little gift for you.", Tito spoke on behalf of everyone. Willy was surprised as Hector brought a nicely and neatly wrapped gift to Willy. The wrapping paper was red and green with a vibrant red bow. It had a tag which read: "To Willy, From all of us".

Willy carefully took the gift and opened it.

He was in shock at what was inside.

It was a photo album. A photo album of all of the pictures ever taken by Willy of their family. The album was neatly and very well decorated. Scrapbooking must have been done by Tina with the help of everyone.

Willy flipped through the pages in awe as he looked through it.

Then, he looked up in gratefulness.

"Thank you, everyone. This is such an amazing gift. Wow! I don't know what to say. I wasn't expecting a gift from you guys. But, this gift is... amazing! So, thank you. I love it. All of our memories, all of our good times..., just... wow!", he said, at a loss for words.

Everyone blushed and beamed.

"We are glad you like it.", said Tina. "Yes, thank you for bringing us in and taking care of us.", said Albert.

Pop then jumped in. "Thank you for being a great dad to us.", he said.

Willy closed the album and embraced his kids in a great, big hug.

And everyone hugged back.

Truly, this was a great Christmas.

One, they would all never forget.
