Chapter 8 Detention or Suspended?

Bonzo was called into the principal's office by the principal himself.

Lots of "ooh"s and "You're in trouble"s were tossed around and echoed in the hallways as Bonzo was forced to walk down all of them to the office where a certain someone was waiting.

Bonzo's eyes went wide.

"No, it can't be...", he said in astonishment.

But, it was.

Willy was there... and he didn't look too happy with Bonzo- or the situation.

Bonzo sighed. He knew he was in big trouble now.

After everyone was settled, the meeting began.

"Bonzo, what you have done, is very irresponsible of you. You purposely caused a lot of trouble to a teacher! Have no shame for what you have done!?!", the principal shouted in anger.

Bonzo squirmed, but suddenly, he had a second wind and stood up in defiance. "Hey! For your information, the reason why I did what I did was because I was furious at what that art teacher did to Tina!", he explained.

The principal was caught off guard. "What do you mean what the art teacher did to Tina?!", he asked.

Now, it was Willy's turn to be surprised. "Yeah, Bonzo, what did the teacher do to Tina?!", he asked.

Bonzo sighed. He knew he had a lot of explaining to do.

Afterward, Bonzo was released from the meeting, but he was not out of the woods yet. If anything, things were just getting started.

"Bonzo, you are lucky he didn't expel you. If anything, you are lucky I am friends with him. I managed to keep him from suspending you. But, unfortunately, you are to be given four weeks of detention. Just why, Bonzo? If you have a problem with a teacher or a student, then just come to me, OK?!", he explained. Bonzo sighed. But, he knew he couldn't just leave Willy waiting for a reply.

"Willy, I understand, but, I was so angry at he did to Tina. I had to defend my sister! Because that's what brothers do! They protect them.", he explained with strength and courage.

Willy smiled and sighed.

"What you did was noble, but very misguided. But, you hurt that teacher, just like how he hurt you and Tina. Be honest with me, Bonzo. Is that really how you want to become and act like? Getting revenge for something that has a better solution?", he asked.

Bonzo was surprised. "I... never really thought about it like that.", he confessed. "I guess I was just so angry that I never really thought about me becoming just like the teacher himself."

Willy shook his head.

"Hopefully, this will teach you to just come to me whenever stuff like this happens. Just know, that I am here for you and for everyone else. OK?", he asked.

Bonzo nodded. But, then, he got scared about something. "Am I in trouble... by you?!", he asked, nervously. Willy paused before continuing. He knew things like this would get his kids scared.

"Well, you will be excused this time around from punishment. Because I think what you two have been through today was punishment enough. But, don't do something like this again!", he warned.

Bonzo nodded. "OK, thank you, Willy."

Luckily, there were only three classes left after lunch period. So, Willy decided to wait in the parking lot for his kids to finish for the day. Bonzo left for his classes... before his detention that would start tomorrow, ruined everything.
