"Neteyam!"
Ilyana called out, as she saw his body skim past the opening of the marui — from the corner of her eye. The two teenagers were in an extremely serious relationship, Ilyana in fact took it too serious for Neteyam's liking.
"Sit."
She had almost acted like his wife. Worse, his mother. The Metkayina teenage girl hissed at the sight of how dirty her boyfriend looked.
"Discusting."
Neteyam sat, opposite, facing Ilyana as she softly brushed her hands over the dirt that was displayed across his torso.
"You need to take care of yourself more. Stop being so reckless."
Ilyana spotted a cut on his bottom lip and rolled her eyes.Did he always have to be such a pain?
"Please."
Her voice was softer, pleading. She had lost Neteyam countless times and then careless things he took part in with Ao'nung and Lo'ak were just another accident waiting to happen.
"I will."
Neteyam watched as Ilyana carefully carresed his arm with water and a sponge, cleaning any dirt and wounds. It had dawned on him how much he took his beautiful girlfriend for granted.
Ilyana had still loved him endlessly, despite the ongoing heartbreaks, the grief and the pain she went through. Which all had been of his cause.
"Marry me."
His sudden outburst had surprised both of them, and Lo'ak who had accidentally intruded on a clearly very romantic moment.
"Aww!"
Lo'ak whispered, poking his hand through the opening. He had only needed to retrieve something but when Ilyana immediately slapped his hand the young boy ran off, shouting an apology.
Neteyam let out a few laughs, when Ilyana turned his head to face her with her hand.
"Teyam."
He had now only remembered he had asked Ilyana to marry her out loud. It wasn't even a proposal, more or less a demand.
"Marry me."
He repeated, looking into her eyes. The girl was shocked, they were only young. But the couple had manage to persisit through all the storms that headed their way and so it was decided. They were meant to be.
"Okay."
Ilyana whispered, and dug her face into his neck as he engulfed her into his arms.
