In the bathroom, I hear Matteo waking Luca up. Luca nervously asks "Where's Laura?"
woah why is he so jumpy?
"Hey hey she just went to the bathroom. I came in to tell you guys dinner will be ready in about 30 minutes." Matteo tells him soothingly
"Oh okay" Luca says, his voice breaking
fuck why is he crying?
There's no talking for a little while and then Matteo speaks up "It's okay Luca, it didn't happen again. She's safe. She didn't leave again."
fuck does he have nightmares about me leaving?

I may not be best friends with any of them yet, but that doesn't mean I want to hear or see them upset
Luca takes a few shaky breathes saying "thank you"
It sounds like Matteo patts his back and says "No problem. I'll see you for dinner." A few moments later I hear my bedroom door close.
I wait for a little longer in the bathroom so it doesn't look like I've been listening and walk back out into my room. Luca's eyes are a little red and puffy. fuck he looks so sad.
"Hey Luca what's wrong?" I ask him softly
He takes a deep breath and explains "I- I just woke u-up and you weren't here."
I go over to my bed and sit next to him. I slowly take his left hand and intertwine it with my right. I let out a big breath and finally look up at my twin. He has tears in his eyes.

I swear my twin got all the human emotions
"Hey what's wrong?" I softly ask bringing my hands up to cup the sides of his face
He holds onto my wrists with both hands saying "Y-you just do-don't like physical contact, a-and I don't w-want to make y-you uncomfortable."
"Hey I wouldn't be doing this if I felt uncomfortable, okay? None of this is making me uncomfortable. I really appreciate your concern Luca, but I'm okay." I tell him slowly brushing my thumbs over fallen tears
